Okay nevermind my last comment-- last weekend (on valentines day actually) I caught an 8" coastal cutthroat that stuck it's tongue out at me so I got to see it
Wow that brownie had one heck of a tongue I've never seen one like that before since I've started flyfishing (6 months ago), I have caught 0 brookies, 1 brownie, like 20 or so rainbows (not including the same one that I caught 7 times and counting), and at least 100's of coastal cutthroats but none had tongues like that
please coment back when you get a chance...im always looking for new creeks/streams to fish in around pennsylvania and i am wondering where this creek is located?
i live in pa and there are some monster browns by my area. ive also seen a brook trout mount from close to where i live that was about 18" but this is a nice catch
Just wondering if you're left or right handed because you are fighting the brown like a righty, but you reel like a lefty. I also agree that the video could have gone without the swearing.
first of all that is the cutest little fihing hat i have ever seen (not) i live in utah and just came home from fly fishing and pulled out 26 browns that big or bigger. is that as big as your browns get down there? we catch 6-12 pounders regulary with a black wooly bugger and other various colours with our fly rods
yes big woop he is a "professional" fisherman which means you have a sponsor or two?? i know many people that have those.and yes u did ruin the vid by swearing.if your going to make a vid make it worth watching
I'm going to start my own trapline this fall but don't know where to sell the pelts at. Can someone please tell me a place I can take furs in the Patton/Carroltown area. I live in Patton Pennsylvania would like to know a fur trading place nearest to me. I would appreciate it alot if someone could tell me this info.
umm yeah they do. in pennsylvania, the game commision stocks rainbow and brown. they stock more rainbow because they are more tolerant to the warmer water
yah dude im from pa they stock brown rainbow brookies palaminoes and until this year tiger trout. you prob think that because brown trout do reproduce and can reproduce to a point where stocking isnt necessary in pa's better streams. such as spring creek and penns creek. while rainbows do reproduce here it is very rare for them to do so. the little juniata (my fav) is stocked with fingerling brown trout that take on characterisitcs of wild trout.
Nice fish!

looks like a blast, winter sucks, haven't had any luck at all this winter on the fly rod

The most appealing part of the catch, for me, is that 'boiling' of the water after the take. Nice video; instructive.

ya we dont get the big fish like you, you guys have big streams and rivers to support those fish we dont. Use your brain a little.

@SuperMasterfisherman
no they get alot bigger here in pa. just gotta know were to find them. we have wild browns in small brooks that get as big as 20+ inches.
