OMG! I think I was at this very performance. I'm sitting here looking like, "He must of worn that same outfits to many concerts, because that is what he wore the time my father took me to see him back in 1986 or 87" Then I saw the revolving stage! I know of only 1 or 2 revolving states in the country. The one this looks like is the old "Front Row" in a suburb outside of Cleveland, Oh. They tore it down. Yet, I know this is the same performance where I was once there to see him. He is missed.

I present to you one of the few singers that commands a stage. He doesn't sing to music. Music plays to his singing. As proof by his band moving to his lead by drawing out the intro, extending his riff solos, holding his dramatic pauses, and playing louder to add drama to his power. That's a musician. I came here because of Jacob Lusk and also Jennifer and Randy's comments. Luther Vandross was one in a million. He is sorely missed. He was one of my music idols. Jacob Lusk did a fantastic version of this song. I really thing Luther would have been proud of him. Jacob is on the top of my list for this American Idol season. And if he doesn't win because of people not voting, he still has a huge career ahead of him. But I think he will win. He is THAT GOOD people! Miss you Luther. RIP.

I present to you one of the few singers that commands a stage. He doesn't sing to music. Music plays to his singing. As proof by his band moving to his lead by drawing out the intro, extending his riff solos, holding his dramatic pauses, and playing louder to add drama to his power. That's a musician. Music was honored to play to his voice.

Luther was the ultimate slow-jam crooning brotha. All the bitches wanted a piece of him... All the dudes wanted to sing and romance like him. I saw him live 2X in Boston in the early and late 1990's and his music knocked me out even moreso live than in recordings. Damn, what a talent! Damn, whatta ,loss! My heart broke a bit when he died and left us. Sing on, Brother Luther... Sing on.
