I used the audio track from the 2nd Gig opening credits; have you played "5th Gig" and the download side-by-side? ;)

If I'd wanted to be really fancy, I would have done Kim-Felix-Wade-Monique-Rufus-T­weebs-Ron in the beginning close-ups, which would have corresponded with Motoko, Togusa (normal guy), Ishikawa (hacker), Saito (black-haired sniper), Boma (bald), Pazu (spiky-haired mobster), and Batou..... But I didn't notice all that until I'd finished formatting the video.

No, no I have not tried doing that, mostly because I wasn't able to download it before it went kaputnik.

And it seems like you're getting quite ambitions, aren't you? (Special edition perhaps?) So, keeping that in mind, I'd like to again reiterate that just about all the GitS stuff ever made (movies, season box sets, action figures, the original manga . . . soundtracks) is available on Amazon. Something you might want to consider when you get the urge to make a vid to the full version of this.

I don't know Japanese, but the first half of the song is actually in Russian (!) and it switches to English at 0:53. I too thought the first half was in Japanese until I hunted around for the lyrics.
