  • i think this is great i know gil and erin because i go to all the cons if they are there and gil and erin know me very well have they seen this if not i would love to give them a copy please get back to me

  • I don't impress easily but I am impressed with the terrific job you did merging so many clips from different episodes into an exciting trailer that summarizes the show.

    Thanks!

an old (41 haha) fan who grew up watching Buck, Wilma and TWIKI

  • ...lets hope the Reboot doesnt suck..owait it will...

  • Wow, that was awesome! Thanks for taking the time to put that together. For a Buck fan it's just fantastic.

  • Well Done!! Excellent!!

  • and the voice of Twiki is Mel Blanc...... you cant forget the creator of Bugs Bunny doing the voice of twiki.

  • How come the show did'nt last I thought the way it was made it should have lasted longer.

  • @michaelhviper

It went from "Buck Rogers" to a "Star Trek / Battlestar Galactica" fusion in the second season and everyone basically stopped watching it because it got kind of dumb ... space gnomes, space witches, a leprechaun, a bird man ... if you get the DVD set, watch the first season (only) and stop there. You'll thank me later.

  • @houseofbroke They shouldn't have changed it in the 2nd season Ive already seen the second season and I don't like it at all.

  • Excellent trailer. Only nit to pick is not including Michael Ansara as Kane.

  • I love Twinkie.

  • Nice work!

  • The 25th Century is fuckin' mass rad

  • Wow, watching this clip makes me wanna go watch Buck Rogers again! Cool clip!

  • why is nbc doing tht itsnot like they play them like tht? what assholes

  • Man, I thought this was kick ass when I was a kid. Hell with Wilma, the princess was nasty hot! If I were Buck, I'd say heck with earth if I could have the princess.

  • Awesome!

  • Great show!! Big dumb hillbilly in the 25th century!!

  • Good job.

  • i have the classic buck rogers dvd set from 1979 series it awesome

they are making a buck rogers new series coming out in 2010

  • Erin Gray is so hot. I have a plastic tweekie mini doll

  • That is awesome. That show is hilariously bad and now it looks hilariously amazing!

  • Well-done! I enjoyed that greatly!

  • Buck Rogers rocks !

  • If they do a re - imagining of Buck Rogers, I wonder if it'll be a la the " gritty, edgy " version of " Battlestar Galactica " ( Which I still liked, BTW ) or like the 70's - 80's version of " Buck Rogers " ? Season 1 of " BR " was okay, but season 2..... meh.

  • I'd watch THAT show !

  • I used to have one of those Draconiaan Maurauders back when this show was on.

  • they should make a movie out of it !

  • lol I didn't know Buck Dogers..... I thought there was only Duck Dodgers...

    :P

  • makes me want to go get the DVD

  • Great Job

  • The Star field opening from Startrek 2 is a nice touch. lol

  • Excellent job! Well edited and very engaging. Kudos from a Sci-fi fan! And it was fun.

  • Well i quite like it bro, thought the visual editing was tip top.You really can't beat the original score but it's nice to see an alternative slant on my fave show from the late 70's early 80's.Also agree with someone else,"Oh Boy!" from Twikki at the end would have rocked :)

  • I see that NBC is is now blocking videos.....These companies can take their copyright shit and stick it in their ass.....

  • @avionicswirenut They can take a sword from hell and shove it up their ass where the sun ain't shinin. Pricks! Sweet childhood memories and Erin Grey... banned!? Who bought the copyright? I'm sure it was some libtard that doesn't want male role models acting like men to be viewed by the general public. I thought that after ten years a copyright expired. Here we are 30 years later and somebody doesn't like a hero and didn't want us to see it. Sick, weak liberal fuckers.

  • @avionicswirenut When you actually create something for a living, I'm sure you'll feel differently.

  • @Pariah1974 This was just the intro that they blocked not the whole show.....Now with a new copyright law looming....You will be lucky if anything survives on the net...If you have a website you will no longer be able to link your site to another site with copyright material.....Where does it end, that is what I am bitching about....

  • @avionicswirenut

The new copyright laws (if you are talking about American law and if it passes) does not stop you from linking or directing to a site. It stops people from posting copyrighted material on their site, thus gaining traffic from it.

Traffic = money and if a site posts something like a preview it's done to direct traffic to their site. But when folks repost that material elsewhere the owners don't get the traffic and in some cases the bandwidth is still pulled from their site.

  • 5000 years into the future, does anybody remember that glitch in the beginning of the series?? Took them a year to catch it too. It was 500 years duah.

  • pretty cool nice job.

  • The robot Twiki (sp?) was the worst thing about this show. It did not look "advanced" but rather something a kindergarten kid would create. The robot was badly designed. Yech! It kept Buck Rogers from becoming super sci-fi and more cheesy sci-fi.

  • @ajb1776 gotta disagree mate, are you talking as of then or looking back.It was the cheesy 80's ya know and i loved the little guy.I think Twiki was once referred to as a phallic symbol ;) just look at the design of his err...... head... 'cough' In comparison the origianl BSG Battlestar Galactica was also considered cheesy especially compared to the Star Wars franchise but ya gotta love those Cylons too.

  • Great video - I believe that was 'The Wrath Of Khan' at the beginning?

  • @TRUMPER007 Wrath of Khan? Star Trek? i think you purchased the wrong kind of mushrooms my friend :)

  • @Pulsar1867 - The music at the very beginning is James Horner's Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan opening music and Ceti Alpha V score. I think YOU have been at the champignons my friend!

  • Perhaps rock music doesn't go with absolutely everything, but it suits this kickass trailer perfectly.

  • i like what you did, but i agree there is room for a better choice of song

  • Nice work. I really like the music,

Think a really nice last touch would have been to have Twiki at then very end saying "Oh boy!". Priceless!

  • I think I wet my pants. Awesome!

  • Hell, if it really was a movie or show coming out, my interest would be piqued.

  • that was gr8t.thumbs high.and how could you not laugh at twiki falling

  • Great! I like very much this trailer!

  • I remember watching this as a youngster, classic. Good job!

  • That was about as awesome as anything I have seen today. Thanks man!

  • Normally I scoff at fan trailers, but this one really works well.

  • thats fantastic!!, brilliantly put together, I think much better than the official network trailers, have Gil, Erin and Felix seen this?? If not, I bet they'd love it. Met Gil and Erin myself last November, I agree, superstar people, soo lovely

  • GREAT !!!!!!!

  • very nice edit

    thank you

  • 70's Sci Fi rule!!! Ava-what? Buck Rogers is da man.

  • Fantastic video!!! In my country (Brazil) the series aired in 1980 and i never lose an episode! In that years TV was more fun than today. And God forbids the terrible Ronald D. Moore from ever trying to do a remake (he already ruined Battlestar Galactica)!!!

  • OMG, I cant find the words to express how much I agree with you on that one!!! (comment about Battlestar Galactica)

  • Totally awesome!!!!!

  • Editing was good, but could have done without the music. Good tag line.

  • LOL. Twiki bouncing off the wall and falling at 1:16 was priceless.

  • It was in reruns on SciFi network for a while. If all woman look like Erin Grey and Pamala Hensley in the future, Where do I sign up for the next cryogenics human experiment.???, Has that been released on DVD yet.? Yea baby Love a woman with spirit Erin Grey was so hot..!!!!

  • The robot is very cool and cute.

  • Ok, this show was a little before my time but the woman from the early 80's are so much more beautiful and hotter than the woman today.

  • @1czelaya

True. True. But you had to watch out for that knarly 80's bush them girls sported back then. If you were lucky you could get one that would trim it.

  • I have the twiki action figure from the 1980's

  • Nice!

  • Oooh this brought back memories. I miss this show.

  • Everyone's talking about re - makes of sci - fi series & we've had them, like BSG & " V ", they're talking about re - makes of " Quantum Leap " & " Alien Nation ", they should do that with Buck Rogers.

But - DON'T make it too edgy, dark & brooding.

  • Actually there's plans for Buck Rogers series with Gil Gerard and Erin Gary coming back.

  • @rathraven1313

I can see Erin Gray coming back, but Gil Gerard isn't a young man anymore, & he bounced back from a medical condition that could've killed him. & he's still not totally recovered.

  • Erin is going to play Dr. Huer. Gil is going to be Buck's commanding officer.

  • Well, I guess if Ronald D. Moore can make Starbuck & Boomer female ( & change Boomer's ethnicity AND make her a Cylon ) in the re - made BSG, Erin Gray can be Dr. Huer in a new version of Buck Rogers.

    Hope it's good !!!

  • My Favourite TV show when I was growing up !! I was very excited and waiting in anticipation for a new show to begin. Gil Gerard is the James Bond of space!

This video of yours makes me want to buy the DVD of the series! Great job!

  • As far as robots go, Twiki was a crap robot....

  • Great. thanks for making this. I wish that kids today could learn to enjoy programs like this. If it doesnt look like a video game they dont want to see it.

When Twiki catches that exploding wall panel, It always makes me wonder if Felix got hurt, or was it a stunt double. 'cause he really hit that floor.

  • Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

Beautifully edited, and you've timed the clips to the music perfectly - laser blasts, action, and everything are timed so well to the beat! My favourite part is at 2:18 when Wilma struts out looking like a million bucks at the end of the "yeah yeah yeah-ahhhhhh" line!

  • Love the Godsmack tune in the back - it really threw this into the 21st Century. What an awesomely great underrated yet cheezy slice of late 70's TV!!!! Cheers!

  • I really liked this show. Thanks for posting.

  • Holy crap. You actually made it look like a new movie!

  • Nice!

  • Did i have nightmares as a kid from that space Dracula episode (she was the only one who could see him, bhrrhrhh). Hawk was cool.

May be i already have placed similar comments about this on you tube, not sure (i think i can check that somewhere don't know how, may be find out later).

  • Nicely done. A very good trailer vid. Makes me wanna watch the show again.

  • Someone should do a remake of the remake, like they did with Battlestar Galactica from '03 - '09

Gil Gerard even complained about his lines in the scripts, cracking jokes & being smart - aleck when he should've been serious, professional & respectful of the 25th century chain of command.

  • And it is because of Gil Gerards complaints about the scripts as to why Buck acted so differently in Season Two. He was much more serious in that one. Personally, I kinda like the smartass Buck Rogers. But to each their own I guess.

  • @alucard624

He sure got over the shock of being a living anachronism fast enough, to be pressed into service as a fighter pilot / spy, later a space explorer, & a wise - cracking one at that.

The smartass Buck Rogers would be more colorful, definitely, but he might have a tendency to be a " loose cannon ". BTW Starbuck in the original BSG was something of a smart - aleck & a rakish character, too, but he knew when to shape up & act disciplined.

  • Very true. I will admit though, a lot of the stories in Season Two are better written, an portray Buck as much more responsible. Course if I was working with a serious guy like Hawk (a badass by the way), I would get serious too.

I do see a lot of Starbuck in Buck Rogers as well, especially how both are real hotshot pilots.

  • @alucard624

Hmmm..... Looking back w / that good old 20 / 20 hindsight, I won't say whether I thought the season 2 stories were better, but with Hawk ( a combination of Spock & Tonto ? ), Buck was more by the book & military. Buck & Starbuck were both career military.

That 2nd android, Crighton, was an egotistical pain, & " he " looked like a lamp post with a futuristic toaster oven for a head.

  • Yeah, thats true that Buck was more by the book at that point. And I agree about Crichton. I hated that damn robot. Made Twiki even more enjoyable a character for me (except when his voice was changed for a view of the season two episodes.) What were the producers thinking? Mel Blanc WAS the voice of Twiki.

  • @alucard624

& Buck was on a ship commanded by an Admiral, making him more likely to respect the chain of command.

When Crichton the robot / android / mobile computer had his brain damaged in 1 episode, I thought " Junk him ! Junk him ! ". Twiki could be cute, & a pest, by turns. Felix Silla, who was in the Twiki " costume " played " Cousin It " in the Original Addams Family & the movies both, supposedly.

Mel Blanc - The MASTER of voices, 'nuff said.

  • He kind of reminds me of the character Colonel Jack O'Niel from Stargate.

Overley sarcastic, teasing and always joking around, that's my kind of character but sometimes he goes a bit too far....

You learn to love Characters like Spock and Data because even when they don't intend to be funny they end up doing funny things anyway.

Iv'e never understood the character Teal'c though, I see him as the "gentle Jaffa warrior gaint" but he has such a stiff personality about him.

  • @Dimitri0809

Jack could be a smart - aleck, but he could " serious up " & give and take orders with th best of them when it came to it.

So could Starbuck from the original BSG AND the re - imagined series.

Teal'c from Stargate SG1 was like Lt. Worf, with some of Spock's stoic quality. It seemed like he loosened up after giving up his symbiote ( & growing a head of hair !! ).

Someone should think about a re - imagining of " Buck Rogers ", even though this version is a re - imagining !

  • Actually he didn't like how Wilma changed. Mel Blanc getting fired. He hated the second season. He wanted it more Earth bond.

  • @rathraven1313

    I didn't know that -

The second season had its moments, but it wasn't all that great. It was trying to be part Star Trek, & maybe BSG in reverse.

  • Pamela Hensley,, a nice piece of ass!!! back in the day

  • Wow. I wish the show was this rad!

  • this trailer is about 100 times better than the show!

  • I met Erin Gray several years ago at a con and she was wonderful. Not many Buck Rogers fans there so I got a little more time than the average autograph signing to talk with her. She was gracious and wonderful to talk with. I really appreciate the fact that many women were inspired to go into the Air Force or the Navy to fly thanks to her. She is truly a wonderful woman.

This video was awesome. I would use it for advertising if I was putting the series on a TV station if I owned one.

  • I wish I could meet her, but I did meet Felix Silla 4 years ago.

  • did you fuck her?

  • Did I fuck who? Certainly not Felix Silla LOL

  • What were you thinking of!? that could have been your chance to fuck her!

  • Wilma, Princess Ardala...space is cool..

  • TWIKI FALLING 1:17 CLASSIC! LMAO/LOL

  • I was going to post the same thing, then I scrolled down and saw this.

    F'ing awesome!

  • @assapopulus1972

    Biddi biddi biddi I'm dead.

  • Always thought the earth fighters were a good design, still look good. As a kid I loved this show and Wilma helped me...ah...rise to manhood...sorry.

  • That was AWSOME!! Good Job!

  • Good work, Excellent Video

  • A great trailer for a great show! Aww, I miss the 25th century...

  • Wow man. First class!

You took clips from a show about 30 years old and made it shiny and new again! Fantastic!

Everything, including "the Buck stops here" pun is just amazing.

Also, very good choice of music. Really suits the action clips. Usually people who do fan vids make ad hoc, and generally bad choices for background music. You scored a grand slam with it.

You have a gift. I can't praise this vid enough. I only wish I made it.

    Five stars, easy.

    Night (@@) Owl

  • Awesome!! Great job with the edit...it does the show justice!

I'm so envious that you got to meet the stars!

  • That was a good movie! Long time since I'd seen a clip from it! : )

  • Nice trailer. Good Work!

  • wrong music where's the original 70s style music?

  • The idea was to have fun and make a "modern-style" trailer - similarly to how they don't use the actual music in trailers for films today - they use something with energy for the advertisement and then the film's score is often quite different.

  • THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE

  • Loved the show as a kid. What guy wouldn't want to get between Erin Gray and Pamela Hensley. Those ladies were smokin!

  • Thank you for making this. Like many space heroes today, Buck Rogers doesn't get much attention, even though both he as a character, and the tv series you've just endorsed, are worthy of it.

This is a great tribute, which will hopefully be the first spurt of renewed interest now that a new film is being made. I even hear Flint Dille who was the story editor on various seasons of the original GI Joe and Transformers cartoons is writing. Sounds like Buck is in good hands to me.

  • thanks for the video...I really enjoyed this clip. I really enjoyed the original movie...with out the redux....It was a cool premise...miss the show...

  • Rock n roll and rap dont go with evverything

  • And opinions are like noses - everyone has one.

  • What counts is that its your creation. I like it. and you love it.:) Nice Editing

  • man, I loved that show...did you know they are doing a movie?

  • seriously? They did one back in the 70's..... where can I find any info about it?

  • When does the movie come out?

  • Cool vid, hot Wilma.

Anyone remember the sci-fi series where all the women had purple hair..?

  • Cool. Very cool. Kick-assingly cool. Thanks.

  • It used the same technology as Universal TV's Battlestar Galaktika. It looks better than many of the new movies!

  • That was a kick-a@@ trailer. Makes me want to go re-watch the show now (altho I know the music won't be as cool as this clip's).

  • nicely done

  • This was dynamite. Damn, Buck had it good with two of the hottest women in SciFi ever.

  • Very well made.

  • 'In space the buck stops here' lol Superb :)

  • I'll admit that I always liked the original song "Suspension" used in the theatrical version of the pilot episode. The opening credits for that version weren't too bad, either. Erin Gray & Pamela Hemsley. Glen Larson had great taste when casting the female characters on this & BSG.

  • as a casting director the idea is to ask yourself first, "can she act" the second question is "Does she turn you on"

Hot chicks lose their heat with lack of personality.

  • Dynamite Entertainment is gonna have a Buck Rogers comic based on both the original version of the character (1930s) and the TV version (1980s). it will be out in May

  • I'm a big sci-fi fan but I'm only 19 so I don't remember this, but it looks good.

  • Then go and buy the dvd's. You will love it. Battlestar Galactica, the original is a bit naive in my opinion, but considering it was done in the 70's it was top of technology then, and the costumes/uniforms were so sexy. Buck Rogers is superb and so funny. A true classic and groundbraking at the time. Besides, the cast was awesome (on both series).

  • great editing work..... salute

  • Nice! I remember watching re-runs of this as a kid. Wow, now I feel old.

  • Time line: 1:16 Poor Twiggy fell down!

What did that sweet little robot ever do to anybody!

  • put machinehead by bush and this video would really rock

  • Very nice!

  • I tried using the original score - it was too slow for what I was intending - a "fun" tribute trailer with modern sensibilities.

  • Nice job! Really brought back some memories. A lot of folks think this was just a TV series, but it was a theatrical release first. I remember seeing it around '79 and being all fired up when it was announced that it would be a television series AND that it would still star Gil Gerard. I can't recall any other movie to TV adaptation that did that.

  • One other show to do this equivalent to Buck Rogers with Gil Gerard: Battlestar Galctica with Lorne Greene

  • You are right... this was an awsome show, I used to watch it when I was a young boy. Probably one of, if not my favorite serieses of all time. Also good job on the video. thanx for posting it.

  • Good job man, Buck would be proud :D

  • That was actually pretty well done! Sexy, action, rockin!

    THE BUCK STOPS HERE!

  • Heh heh heh yeah yeah! Violence! and Pamela Hensley had it all!!!

  • Very nice work. An obvious labor of love, and it shows. It's amazing how much better the dogfight sequences look after you sped them up a bit.

  • Thanks - Your comments are appreciated!

  • Fantastic edit, well done. God this brings back some memories.

  • Thanks!

  • Using some music from Star Trek II at the beginning was ingenious. Good editing to match the music with the clips. Makes me want to watch the pilot again too.

  • Good show, a new Buck Rogers movie on theatres would be cool about now.

  • Damn I loved this show when I was growing up. Erin Gray was soooo hot with that spandex and long hair. Grrrrrrrrr! She's aged well but Gil hasn't, although, he is almost 70 now.

    Good job!

  • I saw him (Gil) just over a year ago and, he's been doing push-ups . . . Looked like a new man! Very sharp and has a great sense of humor.

  • I believe Gil's roughly the same age as Richard Hatch & Dirk Benedict. Maybe he should've followed Dirk's eating habits.

  • BRAVO! Well done, indeed!

The original trailer should've been this good!

  • Couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Bidi, Bidi, Bidi, nice video.

  • Great trailer. That gave the movie a totally different feel. I agree with keeblergraham21 in that it makes me want to see the movie again

  • Nicely done!

  • Haha! That was fun to watch ... Good job! You might get a kick out of one of my trailers too. = )

  • Absolutely brillian! Good job, Rascal.

  • Thanks Mike - Much appreciated!

  • Wow, that was a great movie wasn't it?

  • The production values aren't bad considering the time this series was filmed.

  • This trailer makes me want to see the movie again. Good work!

  • Thanks so much B17FRascal

    Francesco

  • what is the title of the Song of this trailer??

    Thanks

  • The song is Godsmack's "Keep Away" - Just without all the words.

  • great work, a pleasure to watch.

  • That's good work. I love this trailer. Nice on the dedications too. They should see it.

  • "In space, the buck stops here."

    Genius, my friend!
