  • J'adore county-collector.skyrock.com/profil/

  • the red and black countys are very rare

only 4 were ever made in the benson group red and black livery

  • they look like ford tractors

  • As a child growing up in a rural village, I was surrounded by agricultural land and, on the odd occasion, I would see a County travelling on the road! I'm 40 now and I hardly see one. I adore these tractors and hopefully, one day, I will own one!

  • at 3:03 doesn't look like the county has a very big turning circle

  • When where these buildt?

  • 1989/1990

  • What did they use the Valmet's for then ??

  • The Benson Group were also the importers for Valmet at that time

  • I jizzed right in my pants at 02:00. Awesome!!

Does the same person own the two super Q 1884's?

    Lucky man.

Could you put a value on them???

  • we had a county about 8 years ago.cant remember what model, but man i just vomit when i see what they are worth now.we sold it for 4000.

  • I buy one xD

  • i used to drive a conty 1474 it was a great tractor unfortunately the guy i worked for didnt see it that way and he sold it for £5000 and bought a 7840sl that was in 1994 i bet he wishes he still had the county now cos its prob worth £40,000 what a sill sod eh

  • Yes you could be right, it was about 89/90. This was the Benson Group factory who were the main importers for Valmet tractors in the early days. The red County was a last effort to rekindle the 1184 which unfortunately failed.

  • Is it possible to find out exactly if it was 89 or 90?

The 89 one went to British Steel, Ravenscraig. The 90 one went to a LaFarge sand quarry in Kent. They are both at the same place now in South west UK.

  • The film was taken in 89 so I guess it must have been the Ravenscraig one. Did one of them not end up in forestry with a winch on the back. What a waste in hindsight

  • Yes, the Ravenscraig one did end up with a winch and blade fitted. It spent it's forestry working life in Snowdonia until June 06 when it changed hands to it's present owner.

  • was the red county, based on Valmet ?

And what conversions did they do on the Transits ? 4wd conversions ?

  • The red county was still ford based, much the same as the old one actually it was just a pretty poor attempt at modernising the old 1184. County did a lot of 4WD conversions of the Transit. I think Telecom and british gas etc. used a lot of them. Not many left now though.

  • @RenzeZielman yeah, the red countys were like Forestmachines says, the bendson groups attempt to modernise county, all they really did was change some of the cab interior, and changed to the colour to the bensons groups livery, saves money, but sadly, wasnt enough, very rare red countys!! prefer the blue ones myself tho :P

  • When was it taken this vid? What are all Valmet tractors doing there? And the red/white/black 1184 (at 02:33)whats that? Unusual cab!

    Thanks for sharing this video!

  • This video must have been taken in Feb 89, or Jan 90. There was only two SuperQ top 1884s and according to the date codes on these tractors they were built then.
