I was a bartender in Albuquerque not long after the war, Vietnam that is and one way I was sure to have a good date with a beautiful Albuquerque girl was to go out to the Holiday Inn on East Central and listen to the Wichhams. If you want to hear a great song, make Lewie do Corrales.
I remember one night when they played the Wine Cellar and that's where I tended. Wow!
His song "Little Bit Late" was the only song I ever heard him do. And that was on the radio. What a talented man. He missed his mark in the entertainment world. But as long as he was great locally...what does it matter?
I remember my father taking us to clubs to watch them play. I remember Hank's red caboose he lived in and my favorite dog he gave us. And even how Lewie would take time to talk to a kid (me) as I wrote up his sales ticket for guitar strings from my father's music store. Good memories...
WOW, I love this song. I have been a fan of the Wickham's for a long, long time. Can someone tell me where I could get this song on a CD? I used to take my daughter to see them in every place they were booked. When I remarried, my husband became a fan, too. We live in AZ now, haven't seen Hank or Lewie in a very long time. I am glad he is still singing and playing guitar. I would love to see you again.
WOW! So glad to see Lewie - my mom Lynne and her 2 friends - the crazy Judis used to go watch Hank and Lewie play and I would stay home and play with their daughters. Lewie sounds great still! God bless you Lewie!!

Wonder if he's related? Doubt it but we do have the same last name. That's how I found him on here tonight and I really like his song.

I found this from a Pimentel guitar search. Hilarious lyrics and that wonderful Pimentel guitar sound.
Lorenzo Pimentel passed away December 2010.
