  • Apple Motion preset, Video Copilot Tutorial reversed, and Pro Scores song. BURNED

  • @legitpropaganda Really? I did? I couldn't tell. You really have an amazing eye to find the most obvious things. Thanks for letting me know that.

  • only 4th place? wow... this is such a great video. Good job :D

  • Hey I'm doing this year! This is awesome did you win?

  • @IRide4TheBlue Thank you and we did not receive 1st place, but we did place 4th nationally.

  • How did you guys do your presentation? Did you show them the video first and then talk about it, or what? I feel like we had no idea what to do when we entered that booth.

  • Dude this is a sick video, what did you use for the dramatic music though, its pretty chill and totally would love to use it sometime as well.

  • @PrestonLindsey Part of the score is Apple Production Loops but another is just from some files I had laying around on my hardrive... don't really know where they came from. Sorry.

  • @PrestonLindsey that other song is called Decoding History its in Pro Scores by Video Copilot

  • Camera?

  • @chsdrums012 Panasonic HDC-TM300 and GOPRO HERO HD cameras.

  • I still believe yours was a great video, and can tell you put a lot of time into it, and I would rate it as the best I've seen on YouTube so far.

  • I made a video in just a little amount of time just with IMovie and my grandma's MacBook (talk about limited time) and if it wasn't for my low presentation scores, I believe mine would have moved onto ntnls. In almost all of the videos I have seen, (including yours) did not fully adress the topic. It was supposed to be an employee training video, not an informational, like a lot of people did.

  • @JaredjTravlinMan Well first of all thanks for the comment and the input, but as we explain in our presentation, our goal was to approach the prompt with a video that is a portion of a training program not the entire program in one 4-minute video. The video was to have the basic information and entice the viewer to be interested in a lecture or reading that would supplement. But a training video is an informational video.

  • That was intense! Those were some sweet angles and effects! very high quality. I went to nationals last year, and this one is nationals bound for sure! nicely done! what program did you use?

  • @ibbysquid what place did you get at nationals? how is the competition?

We used Final Cut Studio Pro (Final Cut, Color, Soundtrack Pro, Motion, and DVD Studio Pro) and Adobe After Effects CS4.

  • @tyblack56 we didn't get into finals, so we never got our place. Ours definitely wasn't that good though. I met the winners from last year and their video was just amazing. I did meet some other finalists and yours is probably better. I'm not sure though, it all depends on the movies this year! I'll see you at nationals!

  • It's an interesting video, but you may have overdone the introduction and the "coolness" factor of your video. Employers who want a theft prevention video to train their workers want something informative, professional, and to the point; not a flashy, cool looking video with only a few facts.

  • its really good editiing. the video content is alright. i used about the same amount of facts but in the judges comments he said we could have used a few more facts to strengthen our presentation even though we got second @ regionals. but its a solid video. should make nationals in my opinion. good luck at state!
