You have a nice living room there. Some subtle changes could inhance your room though. Try sheer curtains ( to let in more natural light ) that have a pop of color to them; then add pillows and wall art, or accents, that would compliment the furniture and curtains. If you can afford it change the ottoman to match your sofa and loveseat for a more cohesive look. I think that would brighten up the room. However, whatever you decide to do make sure it's something that feels like "Home" to you :-)
change the upholstry of ur sofa to a lighter shade.....rearrange the setting of ur sofa.make use of the side table at the side of the tv as a side table in ur sitting area....incorporate the bookcase in the living area....with the sofa setting,get a better,read lower tv stand.

you have a wery dark room... try to take the curten down, and get a ligt collored one, it also wery empty... try painting the wall that is over for the window your favorit colour, to make it look nicer... paintings or posters in frames is a god idea. some pillos, in the sofa... and mabey a tv tabel with a reol in it ^^ it vill make it look better and clean. hope you can use the idears ^^

I would first update your tv / av area. combine tv/ av area with your dvd collection into one unit, a nice armoire would house everything. you have really good pieces of furniture, not fond of the camel footrest - wrong color. and soften the walls, try a focal wall with a complementary color on the others. without spending a lot of money, a few changes would work, good luck, don't forget to post your changes :)
