Just a little tidbit for you guys - The comments in this video claim the 370Z got a .99 g rating. I'm not disputing the fact. But just for some perspective, the ratings for the Ferrari Enzo according to Road and Track are 1.01, and according to Car and Driver are 1.05.  Seeing as it costs 16 and a half testicles, I might rather have the Z.

@ralekriver Skidpad is pretty pointless test as it tells nothing about vehicle dynamics. You can make any car have a good result on skidpad and still handle like shit.

@ralekriver Any normal car, saloon, hatchback, whatever, has 0,9 to 0,95 g on skidpad, and best sports cars have up to 1,00-1,05.  It depends the most on tires and car balance. You can set the car to oversteer slightly and then balance it on skidpad to have more G, but it will be snappy in the rear and will handle bad when actually driving it. Skidpad, slaloms and similar tests that only give you numbers are nothing by which cars should be judged, because they dont give you the entire picture.

Reading randomae's comments, it's quite clear he doesn't understand. (but mouths off - a typical YouTuber?) He's talking about mathematics on a grade 1 level in terms of the relationship to calculate G forces but he doesn't seem to grasp the idea of .97, or .99G's as Motortrend managed.

The coefficient of friction required to pull that off is absolutely insane considering that the 370Z, unlike $100k+ (and mostly $250+) Supercars, does not really have wings, nor does it use Bernoulli tunnels.

The Datsun 240Z and 260Z are my all-time favorite Z cars from Nissan. I don't really like the light styles of the front or taillights. I would have liked something a bit more cleaner and stylish. These things nonwithstanding, it's still going to be a car plenty of Nissan fans will be excited about.

InsideLine is a test and it pulled 0.97g on the skid pad which is insane
