Question - I got a word document that was written in Laotian, some font type. Document was saved in a memory stick. I brought it home opened on my laptop (windows 7) but the font was some weird symbols/characters.. not in the Laotian language.  What happened?

I have installed Laos font by going to control panel/regions..etc. When I open a new document to type in Laotian.. that works fine.. but when I opened the document the font isn't what I expected.
