it handles really well is that stock?, because im thinking of getting 1/8th buggy wheels and an aluminium chassis and and the adaptors to accomodate the larger wheels.
yeah they are slow i have a nitro slayer 3.3 that does 72 mph and all i did was a gear change and cut a small hole in the windshield of the truck for cooling so i could lean it out a little more .vs. my brushless slash that does 68 mph and it cost more to get my slash to do it having to replace the titan 12t motor with a mamba monster brushless set up and a 3s 30c 11.1 v lipo plus the charger to charge a lipo .. added cost to slash $378.86 and the slash is still just a 4x2 slayer 4x4
what's the run time on one of these trucks..just want' to get an idea..because i'm going to be getting in to RC stuff soon..just want to know what to buy for my first car,,nitro or bat..
@schultzee101 nitro is for people that hate driving their RC trucks. there's maintenance to be done, a mess to clean up, glow plug heaters to charge, after run treatments to do, break ins, re sleeves or replacement of the motor after 300 hours, glow plugs to replace, tune chasing, if it suddenly starts raining or you want to run all day, you have to stop and tune for atmospheric conditions or suffer poorer performance. not to mention that BL tech makes nitro look like nitro made Brushed look.
@Na8Dogg no not nitro its to much work i have 2 slashes and 1 nitro i only race and run the slashes the most also go to a main hobbys thats where i got mine hope that help!!!!!!!!!:)
My Slash with a Mamba Max brushless 5400, and a 3s Lipo can top at almost 90 mph. I can't keep it straight for anything! It cuts the tires all the time because they get so narrow. So, a buggy set may be better to help save me having to put on a new tire every time I drive it more than half throttle?
the stock tires and the switch tires are even up, id say their not worth the money,
you want a drastic change to your slash? go out and get a full set of 17mm hubs and full set of 1/8 buggy tires, cause after all the slash is a 1/8th scale truck, and hey, its cheaper, i only recommend this if you running a brushless system,
no thank you for the information im gonna get a brushless system soon so i might do that but will they still fit under the body without rubbing the paint off?
