why are so many races running 1/8th mile i like the 1/4 personally does anybody know why?thanx for any responce

@67500fan it's a combination of most florida tracks that ran local monthly races were 1/8 mile tracks, and the fact that cars over a certain weight weren't allowed to run faster than 7.50 per NHRA and/or IHRA rules, for safety issues

plus, 1/4 mile hurts more parts and causes more oil downs which causes the race to get stopped for a period of time
