That's quite a claim, assuming you know what I know. Legally, you're right. Settling is not the same as admitting guilt. In the eyes of public opinion, though, it's probably worse. The COS has never shown restraint in pressing litigation against critics in the past - I can't imagine they'd settle if they truly believed they'd win the case ( a major PR victory) simply because of fiscal considerations. But that's my opinion.

The charges were dropped due to lack of evidence and a change in the Coroner's report, not because the church of scientology was vindicated. The civil suit was settled out of court, as I recall.

That's quite a claim, assuming you know what I know. Legally, you're right. Settling is not the same as admitting guilt. In the eyes of public opinion, though, it's probably worse. The COS has never shown restraint in pressing litigation against critics in the past - I can't imagine they'd settle if they truly believed they'd win the case ( a major PR victory) simply because of fiscal considerations. But that's my opinion.

17 yrs ago as a 16 yr old from a country town visiting sydney for the first time i was approached by someone to answer a survey. i said yes. the guy ASKED us to the offices. not knowing any better we went and then they tried to flog us the ron hubbard book for $12.but the guy kept on us and on us and we got a little wierded out and trying to leave. then apparently they had a old edition that was only $5 dollars, so i bought it so they would let us leave. was really intimidating and scary.

There is no "founder" Anonymous... Anonymous as a collective decided DDoS attacks and other illegal strategies were ineffective. Also, Anon intends to dismantle Scientology in its present form, but in order for this to happen, the people need to be made aware of Co$'s misdeeds. That's the purpose of the pickets. Know this, The good works and majority ethics of Scientologists are not at all at fault. It is their incessant litigious nature, and their denial of medical technologies that have been empirically verified to save lives. Except for the fact that I copy-pasted the words of the guy below me, and I don't blindly give my money or obedience to people who neither know me nor intend me well. Scientology may not be inherently evil, but it certainly isn't good in its current shape, and Anon/Legion is doing work that simply must be done, as Luther did with the Reformation.
