  • does this work on imovie/mac?

    thank you for your time

  • that dog looks to happy lol hes like look how fast i can run.

  • Besides the misses displaying the state-of-the-art ravishing fuzzy hair due mainly attributed to the compression format by yt the meandering escapade is well documented as is your selection of accompanying melody which have earned you a vertical position of the 'ole thumb!

  • Hi, so i just go this camera. Is there a way to know if im recording in full HD?? Or does it automatically record in full HD?? I thought there might be different recording modes. Thanks!

  • I love this comcorder but ive got a problem, for some reason after i record when i review the footage it looks really jaggy if you know what i mean. Kind of like a video game without the AA

  • Sony Just Rules, Always Leading Technology Innovation...The Best

  • I'm gonna get a sony camcorder.

  • i didn't had a hard time deciding whether to buy it or not... i only need to see the brand and i'm good to go. Sony Fanatic here XD

  • Hello, How much time can you record in full HD mode?? and how does the camera perform in low light situations, does it have noise?? I would really appreciate your response.

  • @SernaProductions

Which camera does not have noise in low light?

Low light can lose focus if you transition fast, so smooth transitions will focus O.K.

If I remember up-to one hour in full HD mode, but I use several 32GB Class 4 cards.

  • Is this a real pain to render on sony vegas pro 10, because my laptop is only 2.2ghz, 4gigs of ram, and a atiradeon hd3200 integrated... :[

  • @isaidwombo This video was not edited in any render software, the original file was uploaded straight to YouTube and music added through YouTube. If you find that your HD videos aren't playing well on your system than it's time to upgrade or buy a better video card.

  • Hello friend, can you help me? i have the same camera, and i saw few videos filming in slow motion, i cant find the choice for recorder in slow motion , can you guide me please?, grettings from Chile

  • Does this camera come with a hole for a tripod? also, what are you editing with and are you doing it straight from the camera software? thanks

  • @ajvidman21 Yes it does. This video is not edited outside the camera.

  • @YakStudios Im still debating on whether to get the camera or not. Could you do a night test? That would be great thank you.

  • @swiftjumper101 You are welcome.

  • how did u get the FULL hd out of your camera? what settings??? i can only get mine to 720p. please respond!!!

  • @WhatUpHater >Menu >Rec Mode >HD FX then go >Menu >HD/STD Set >HD Quality

  • Lmao I loved that video hahaha!

  • does putting it on the highest quality take up more memory ?

  • @TechMusicFilmStyle The higher the HD setting for your video recording the more memory it requires to record on.

  • @TechMusicFilmStyle Yes, lots more memory.

  • Would you recommend this over a Sanyo Xacti (specifically the VPC-FH1A)?

This looks good and has manual focus, but the FH1A has the slow motion and all the other mods, so I'm having a conundrum :\

    lol I can't believe I said that :D

  • @AETrainingDavid97 If slow motion is more important than the HD quality then get the Sanyo Xacti, if the quality of the video is more important then get the Sony HDR-CX150. The Sony HDR-CX150 also has slow motion. The Sony HDR-CX150 may have a little less options than other cams in this price range, but the reason for that is it has better full HD image quality.

  • @YakStudios Ah, thanks :)

  • Hey nice vid!

I have an XR150 and I'm experiencing a blur or pixelation around objects' edges. Have you experienced the same problem?

    Thanks a lot.

  • @BarryEssex Not sure that I have, but I'm not a pixel peeper either. Are you recording and viewing in full HD and on a quality monitor that can read full 1080 HD. The system you watch it on has a lot to do with it. Also, I think that if you record in low light it will do that.

  • i suck with tech stuff and i have this camcoder how do you get full hd please reply

  • @Nirvanaisamazing777 you need to turn the hd settings on within the camcorder it self then when you upload you need need to render in hd settings. (hint) dont use windows movie maker its a pain when rendering.

  • wait i have a question i have a sony hdr cx150 also but how often do you clean the lens once in a while or everyday?

  • there is a small problem

when zooming u can hear the sound of the lens moving

  • Looks nice. How is it when you convert the video to a dvd and then watch it on tv? I am trying to find a camera that will make tv quality video once I convert it to dvd. Any recommendations?

  • I tried two other cams for around the same price and ended up taking them back. This model does what I need for on the spot video recording, and has the features I was looking for. It's light and compact to boot. For the money, this camera is pretty sweet. Thanks for the test vid footage.

  • Awesome Camera, Beautiful Woods, Cute Dog, Great Video.

  • It has really trouble focusing when zooming in!

  • @deurkl Both Sony HDR-CX150 and Sanyo Xacti HD2000 have issues focusing on zoom, in fact they both get a -1 for that. You have to know the product and know it's weakness and strength and utilize accordingly. There will be a lot of compromise when buying an HD camera below $500.00, you can't have everything, otherwise you would have bought a $1,500 cam.

  • @deurkl zooming/focusing in the sunrise-sunset mode is an issue. saw it documented in someone elses youtube video. after the sunrise-sunset mode was turned to auto, the zoom/focus cleared up.

  • @deurkl

    lets see you do better

  • lol very cute dog, he/she runs back after a certain distance to check on its owners. lol. im buying this camera today for $579.99 at best buy. Can't wait to use it, and your videos helped me in my choice in buying it. Worth the money!

  • AMAZING ZOOM! This takes stalking to a whole new level. HAHA!

I think I'm going to buy this. Looks great. Do you know if this HDR-CX150 is the same as HDR-CX110, except HDR-CX110 doesn't have internal memory?

  • @NaruSasuFreakYOSH That's the main difference.

  • Doesn't look that great when watching it full screen on my full hd monitor.

  • @perfusus Do you have 1080p on your monitor? I've tested this on a Full hD 50" Plasma TV, the video is crystal clear... I've tested on other monitors/screens some are good some are bad, even if they are Full HD. On a good quality screen it will play like it is made to. Try watching on a laptop that has crappy hardware and it will be even worse. It depends on what kind of monitor/screen you use.

  • @perfusus That is because of the recoding of youtube.

  • How did you save and upload the file? The file size of your video here is only 6.7 MB? How did you get the MB to be so small, yet retain the great picture quality? Please help...

  • @puregospeltruth This is what was done to this video. Upload from camera to PC, upload .mt2s file to YouTube. That's it.

  • damn!!!

  • You're kidding me. This has far the best quality I've ever seen.

  • @xlr814music The quality of the SONY HDR-CX150 is very good for the price range. It is the best HD quality in it's price range.

  • Wow!

What editing software did you use?

  • @HelloMyNameIsKam No editing was done to this video. It was shot in Sunrise/Sunset mode in full HD settings, uploaded to PC, then uploaded the .mt2s file to YouTube. That it.

  • @YakStudios

    Oh, okay..

    Thanks! :D

So if I upload this to Windows Movie Maker will the quality stay the same?

  • @HelloMyNameIsKam Not sure, I haven't used Windows Video Maker. If I remember correctly Windows Video Maker needs a plug in to play AVCHD files such as .mt2s. Perhaps the latest version of Windows Media Maker already does that. If not you can download a codec and save the file in the format MM supports. One thing to remember is that every time you save and resave the file in different formats you loose quality, so always save the original in case you have to start over.

  • Yo I didnt know you was so far back. That zoom is amazing. Great vid....

  • @VirginsEyeViewDotCom Thanks. The zoom is very good. The anti-shake feature on this camera works great, x10.

  • nice quality

  • The nature in this video looks stunning!
