Yes it will work. Just don't buy the upgrade version. You will then need a proper boot loader (PC EFI + Chameleon) and use custom "drivers" (kexts).

it just popped into the desktop it didn't animate the dock coming up and the bar at the top it just appeared their and the boot screen was different

How'd you get Leopard at first?

I have the P5B and my Processor is also almost the same, Model E8800 333GHz, also WD Caviar, 220 GB though, GFX just a bit better. Most of it is nearly the same :/

Same network adapter and chipset too.

All the tutorials i have found for OSx86 Snow Leopard, requires me to have Leopard already. My Leopard image is a DMG so it won't burn in Windows, i have also got Tiger, but that won't install, though i have it in VMware, but can't burn from there :(

Boot your computer from an EFI on OSX that you created your installation from and select Snow Leopard partition....install your video card driver here. Now you can clone it and it will boot.

This process will last forever!!! so chill out and watch TV.
