@shannonmariemcmillan Thanks, I haven't played the Petit Chien yet. I think it's also difficult for me to play it like a puppy running around me. Looking forward to seeing your performance :)
When you say it took you half a year, how long were you practicing it each day for? Beautiful performance by the way. That piece of music is just gorgeous beyond belief.
@unclejoey32 I arranged some notes on this perfoemance as well as fingerings for me to play easier...it's nice for you to listen professionals, not mine ;-)
i think the chair is adjusted in its lowest position, which should make playing more difficult. well-executed nontheless. look up to Van Cliburn's recording for a fine performance.
I think the secret to playing this piece well, besides the obvious technique and tone is to make it sound EASY. Some pieces can seem difficult and come out alright. Not this one.
I agree with you. From the audience viewpoint, they fell comfortable if the performer looks playing easy even if the piece looks difficult when the performer plays this tender type of music.
If you continue to study very slowly, someday you will be a player of this tune. I think this is basic and primitive but very important way to develop your performance of instruments.
umm. I actually don't think this performance is that good. The performer is rushing too much. The melody is not shaped well enough, melody doesn't 'sing' out. I say that the performer maybe too nervous...
Thank you for your advice. I had not studied enough until this performance. Actually I was nervous as you say because I don't have many chances to play at stages for audience very much.
Thank you for you kind comment on my performance. Yes, I know Hamlin's version where the last part of this piece seems different from well-known version.
Thank you for your kind comment. I am grad to see it. As you say, we can watch many interpretations of this tune on YouTube. I also look at them and I study from them.
good technique, but it's way too fast in general, particularly at around 0:45 - 1:00. THEY ARE TRIPLETS,which means that each rest gets a third. you played them like sixteenths
It's hard to get the right sounds if your fingers aren't nice and loose - even if the room's too cold, that much more stiffness in your knuckles can cause trouble. Another problem I had (just to clarify, I'm not the one in the video, but since you asked...) was with key accuracy at the section about 1:15 or so, in - you may want to practice that a bit, as it requires a lot of jumps, some more blind than others. That being said, it's a perfectly lovely piece that I'm sure you'll enjoy. =)
..GREAT playing here..Franz Liszt was a good composer! best wishes!! *****

very well performed. You should think of relaxing dont be so tensed, down with the shoulders :P. Anyway very good technic
too little musical though.
Paganoogie 4 years ago
At this time I wrongly set height of the chair to the lowest position. So it seems my shoulders and arms are tensed a little...
