Jesus could not be the Messiah because is is not of the tribe of Judah, but rather Levi, which is the same tribe as Mary and her cousin Elisabeth (lineage of Aaron the Levite).
@bobbywgoodwin You got it completely wrong there, Mary was not a Levite, She may have had Levite relatives but she was descended from David, There was a Miriam (Mary), a prophetess, who was the elder sister of both Aaron and Moses. Maybe you confused the two? Her genealogy is given in Luke and mentioned in Hebrews.
Thanks for responding, but I can't find anything in the New Testament that specifically says Mary was of the lineage of David. Could you tell me the exact verse? Also, Jesus did not fulfill the virgin birth prophesy (Isaiah 7:14) because that prophesy had already been fulfilled during the time of King Ahaz. Furthermore, the name of the child born of the young woman/virgin was "Immanuel", not Jesus. Any theory on this? Thanks Niceperson

I'm not sure what version of the Bible you are reading from but in the KJV Natham is not mentioned in ANY scripture in the NT except in the geneology chart of Luke 3:31, showing him as the son of David. Mathew's geneology chart shows "Solomon" as David's son, not Nathan. When yo make a statement about scriptures, please give the chapter and verse. You claimed Nathan was in 6 other books, and that is surely untrue. Even the KJV is unreliable; filled with contradictions and mistakes. Comments?

From Solomon, Jesus could not be Messiah through the curse, but Jesus was legally son of Joseph, but physically (of the flesh) through Nathan (no curse)

@deangelofaser I can only speak for Qur'an and I can tell you that many scholars and critics have tried looking for scientific faults in it and none have been found. If you have indeed read the Qur'an, thhe you will know the scientific findings and mysteries in there no man (especially an illiterate man from desert of arabia) could have known. But my point here is that science alone proofs and dictates the existence of a creator. So do mathematics, study of logic and certainty.

If Jesus is or was God then why was he not able to teach his people the message and left it up to his disciples to explain a religion which they do not understand themselves and still today Christians are unable to explain for example the trinity! Was god lame that he was over powered and rejected by the people. I held the bible to read it , after less than 1 minute of reading the credibility of the book was over, the bible says in Genisis that god created the world in 6 days ( day=24 hours) and that the universe in no older than 10,000, Science strongly disagree with that , so the bible can not be the word of god.

The very begining of the book Genesis 1 genesis 2 said that God created the world in 6 daysusing the word which is youwm. The Author of the book explains that 6 days are our very 6 days and not what is equivalant to millions years like science claims. Thanks for responding, but I can't find anything in the New Testament that specifically says Mary was of the lineage of David. Could you tell me the exact verse? Also, Jesus did not fulfill the virgin birth prophesy (Isaiah 7:14) because that prophesy had already been fulfilled during the time of King Ahaz. Furthermore, the name of the child born of the young woman/virgin was "Immanuel", not Jesus. Any theory on this? Thanks Niceperson

I'm not sure what version of the Bible you are reading from but in the KJV Natham is not mentioned in ANY scripture in the NT except in the geneology chart of Luke 3:31, showing him as the son of David. Mathew's geneology chart shows "Solomon" as David's son, not Nathan. When yo make a statement about scriptures, please give the chapter and verse. You claimed Nathan was in 6 other books, and that is surely untrue. Even the KJV is unreliable; filled with contradictions and mistakes. Comments?

If you have indeed read the Qur'an, thhe you will know the scientific findings and mysteries in there no man (especially an illiterate man from desert of arabia) could have known. But my point here is that science alone proofs and dictates the existence of a creator. So do mathematics, study of logic and certainty.

If Jesus is or was God then why was he not able to teach his people the message and left it up to his disciples to explain a religion which they do not understand themselves and still today Christians are unable to explain for example the trinity! @nicerperson I've never met two Christians who agree on everything in their religion, no matter what words they use to explain it. Quoting Bible scriptures is not the same as understanding them.
The Bible(s) is wide open for interpretation. We understand it according to our level of consciousness at that time.
I don't know what President Ahmadinejad believes. But I did appreciate what he said in that video, including the respect he showed for Jesus Christ.

@eastariel All muslims respect Jesus of the Quran as a great man and a prophet, but do not believe in the Jesus of the bible. Every muslim debater is anti-christianity. most of the content of the deen show is anti-christianity. This is because of the teachings of the Quran. The whole thing is a denial of the Jesus of the bible. Even the mosque built on the temple mound in Jerusalem has the words "God has no son" written on it, the bible says the opposite.

@eastariel I do agree with on most points. Jesus is alive and Jesus does not live in the bible.
But, I believe that God has testified of his son, through the prophets and the "lively oracles of God" revealed to mankind through the Jewish race. What god wants us to know is revealed in the inspired scriptures. This Christ Consciousness is another Jesus, another Gospel. Jesus was THE Christ, the only begotten Son of God, not some sort of spiritual experience. Pray and ask God for the Holy Spirit.
