The definition of abortion is simply the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy. The removal of an ectopic pregnancy IS an abortion and it IS considered an abortion. @ScouseCaspaXS Obviously, u don't know your science, dear. The removal of an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion. Usually, in an ectopic pregnancy, the unborn baby is trapped in the fallopian tube. The fallopian tube is removed along with the unborn child to save the mother's life. The child is taken out whole, not dismembered or burned alive like an abortion. Most medical drs. do not consider the removal of an ectopic pregnancy to be an abortion because the child is not dismembered.

There is no "saving" the baby when it comes to ectopic pregnancy. Even anti-choice doctors understand that. You don't wait until the baby develops further, because this can and has killed women.

As far as the DKA, yes I was in literal septic shock caused by a kidney infection and a glucose of over 1000, It was a medical decision I made with a heavy heart, but one that I and my doctors in the hospital felt was necessary. I, unlike you people, will not chastise someones personal medical decision

Killing a baby bc he/she is inconvenient is not a personal medical decision. In the case of ectopic pregnancy, you should try to remove the baby and help him/her live, though there is a very high risk the baby will die. Do not poison the baby. In the case of a DKA, an abortion is not the right answer. Attempt to deliver the baby early and save him/her, even if there is a high risk of the baby dying. Do not suck out and rip up the baby.

I too was faced with an ectopic pregnancy. I was in the ER when i found out they were pressuring me to poison my baby saying it was the only way i could live, they lied my baby passed naturally. it was the hardest thing i have ever been through. i wanted my baby. they aren't protesting those with this horrible medical condition they are protesting people who laugh at life who throw it away. these "doctors" are in it for the money dont let them fool you!!!

Abortion is not a women's rights issue. It is an issue of morality. No person has the right to kill her baby. Each baby, 50% of which are girls, has the right to live. Women abort their babies because the baby is inconvenient. Furthermore, there is no need to educate people on the fact that intercourse can result in pregnancy. People know that!
