Yes there is certainly a 2 speed available for the mt2, you need to get the one from the HPI RS4, but they are quite expensive and I think the gearing would be way too high (they are meant for the RS4 which has really small wheels). The MT2 works great as a single speed and a 2 speed would only add something extra to go wrong. I thought about doint it once and shelved the idea straight away.
@x7Chaosbullet I find it ironic that a retard redneck shit-kicker Yank, has the brass-front to question the intelligence of a British person. Even the most "slow" British person is infinitely more intelligent than 99.9% of Americans (the whole world knows this). My girl has a law degree so could undoubtedly outwit you even when she was alseep, come to think of it, my cat could probably outwit you, so grab your crayons and your helmet and go back to;shagging possums, or what ever "your girl" is.
@Skiier1000 Well you are obviously one of those people on the outskirts of the gene pool, who gain some self satisfaction in other peoples misfortune. Lucky for me that I can drive the truck and I am glad to disappoint on this occasion.
It was brill actually; I jut sold the truck and have built another identical one. Have yet to run it in though. The sirio 18 engine is no longer in production, but I have 2 brand new ones. they really scream when they are fully run in. it helps that they are rear exhaust as these always put out more power than side exhaust engines.
That wasn't even run in yet, it got way quicker once the engine was run in. I live near Manchester, but this video was recorded near my Mums house in Cornwall.
I'm Glad you said that, I was considering selling this and getting a revo, a recent decision, just for a change really. I am MT2 through and through and have built loads of them over the last few years, so can do it blindfolded. This has been one of the most reliable cars I have had, and the Sirio engine in the dogs bits!!!
i poped a 4.6 in mine ,talk about a monster from hell.Only problem is you can only use about half throttle and i have to run it rich just to keep it on all 4 wheels.
you can put in a .32 thats the biggest out there .I got a k star 4.6 hpi in mine ,,fuckin thing is retarded.Just make sure you roll into the throttle lightly and mesh your spur a bit on the tight sise and check the dog bones on a regular basis.
no,,i have nothing shot in action ,im not a big fan of the camera. Theres lots of vids out there .Plus my mt spends more time upside down then on all 4,,,s.its to much engine for that truck.I mainly use it in big open parking lots cause its useless iin the dirt.
Hey, Check my other videos, I have 2 with the MT2 18ss with the K4.6 engine in. Even with the hardeneddrive gears, the engine stretches the diff cases out of shape and the diffs only last about 6 tanks of fuel - Bit of a waste of money really, so had to take the enigne out.
Hey great vid mate, Just a quick question though, have you any ideas on engine upgrades from a G3.0? I mean nothing too serious, but something with a little more edge - Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome engine, but mine's on it's way out and will be getting a new engine for it whilst sending the G3.0 off to my cousin for his older mt2 (with T-15 engine)
You should look into OS 18 engines, and upgrade to a .18. The G3.0 is underpowered, and my hobby dealer recommended that I upgrade to a .18. OS 18 engines are quite compatible with the MT2 chassis. Look into it.
Rotary Carb and pull start, it is more powerful (1.9Hp) than the standard engine (1.5Hp)for MT2 18ss, as it is a rear exhaust. I had to use a different exhaust - I used the one from Traxxas Revo, it is blue and a bit flatter in profile so fits quite nicely.
Cheers for the compliment mate, I like the MT2 as they are easy to work on, handle well and are quite quick with the .18 engine (even if you keep to the single speed gearbox - which mine always are).
Sirio are an italian engine manufacturer and are renowned across the world as one of the best engine makers. The engine in this truck now has over a gallon therough it, and it still has metal pinch at the top of the stroke. This means it will undoubtedly get faster as it does so.
I got mine off ebay, I don't thinkl they are in the shops anymore, but you ocasionally get one come up. I got a bargain on mine and paid about £40 from Portugal Actually bought two so have a spare one.
ha thats a good idea. o.s. are just about all the local hobby shop carries, so im ok with that. i coulda had the tz model wich is rated at 1.85 hp. i think that was a bit much. althought it woulda been alot of fun haha

Hi There,
It is a Sirio TX 18 engine, the title is a bit of a give away! Italian manufacturers and some of the best engines available.
Cheers.
