@pscottartist Yeah, cuz I've shown around the world because I don't know what I'm talking about. If nobody sees it, how will it get noticed? Will art sell if no one sees it? I've never heard of you, so your art must not be that great. Maybe some people in your little town will notice, but is it really worth it to be a big fish in a little pond? Also, name calling is the last resort of the small minded.
Ha, you have fallen into the trap! So easy! You are now playing the fame game!!! Don't worry, you are in good company, and perhaps you can wear the crown for a while, and people will love and adore you. But be careful, there may be rivals with smiles on their faces waiting to dethrone you....
Better yet, why not figure out what the purpose of you work is, and how it can help people directly, or some greater purpose than fame. I think you will have a happier life and a rewarding career......
Ha, ok then. Everything I say should be taken with a grain of salt and not so literally. However, I do have a problem with the idea of thinking that the purpose of art is to help other people. At the most I think it can help me. I'm not saying it can't help people, but I believe it to be naive to think that one's art will change someone, or make people love each other and stop war, or even get someone to smile. Artists have to satisfy themselves first, and let others come along for the ride
Hey Dave. Great video. And hello from the UK. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I wouldn't normally refer to myself as a genius personally, because I think, or thought that it would sound arrogant. I realise now that isn't correct. I do believe in my work. I do think it's worth doing, especially my paintings, but all I seem to do is pick the faults in my work. I'm definately my own worst critic. I'm sure that will change in time, as I improve.
If you're really that great, you don't have to stand up and announce it, people will notice. Douche...

do what you love and money will follow; people who chase money seem to lose it.
