  • Would the jammin work for bashing as well?

  • I bought both if the trucks and the jammin is best for racing on the track my son would rather get the jammin

  • can you compare a NEXX, hyper 10SC, and the Jammin SCRT10, all in one please?

  • Squirrelod how are the differentials on the jammin holding up have u broke one yet

  • Which one if a better bash

  • Hey squirrelod great videos but i have two disagree with u and haveing a 550 sized motor in the hyper or jammmin im running a 3800 kv motor on a 2s lipo and and im toping out at 48 mph and and im not saying ur wrong or any thing what was ur gearing in the hyper thanks

  • @penutbutter4luv A 540 sized motor will burn up and stress out in the dirt. The motor that you are using a 550 sized motor, so by default, you agree with my findings of 550 sized motors. Most that drive SC trucks drive with 550 sized motors. The Traxxas stock, Tekin SC4x, the Castle SC systems, etc are all 550 sized motors and they are that way for the above reasons; which is why they highly suggest not using the regular mamba

  • Thanks Squirrel !

    The Videos Are Great!

I Was Just Kiddin' Around Down Below! \/ \/

  • But Squirrel, I Don't Want 2 do Research or Study or Math or Work or Watch Educational Videos! I Just Want U 2 Tell Me What 2 Do 2 My Truck 2 Make it The Sickest and Fastest and Phattest Truck in My Neighborhood and My Track and The World! BTW - If I Send U My Truck, Will U Fix it Like U Suggest and Send it Back 2 Me? I'll Pay The Shipping 2 U! U R So Smart 2!

  • i love the jammin just got runs amazing

  • so if i wanted the jammin but i want it to be a basher how would i do that with the shocks?

  • Squirrel , i'm just looking for a gd racing / bashing Motor and ESC . Me and my friends get together to see who has the fastest SC Truck :-)) so I need your help to tell me what kind of Tekin Motor and ESC to get and also the size pinion gear

  • @cokc23p36 You need to watch my Electric U and Lipo U vid series then. I cannot advise what is best for you and your circumstances. Using the formula KV * V= RPM then you should be able to see what ball parks you and the series will also explain how you can gear and set the ESCs up for lower KVs. The highest KV is not always the fastest but this depends on how you setup your kit to handle the speed and also how much voltage you are going to apply. Again, I cannot advise.

  • Hey Squirrel , so for the 5.5t you it's not a 1/8 but 1/10 and do u still need the 17t pinion gear

  • @cokc23p36 If you race you will want a SC motor that is smaller than the 1/8th. Yes, it is 1/10th scale like the scale of this truck. Gearing will be subject to your kit. Probably not. I went with lower KV 1/8th as a bash setup and it did well on the track, over geared to handle it perfectly, and it handled great compared to other 4wd SCs on the track. If I wanted to race I would have to swap motors per my tracks rules. You will need to find your own gearing and track rules.

  • Squirrel , I liked ur video on the traxxas Slash 4x4 against the Ofna Jammin 4x4 10e . UR review made me pick the Ofna Jammin 4x4 10e . My question is what size Tekin rx8 KV motor should I used and do u have 2 switch the gears and what sizes

  • @cokc23p36 Id also consider the SC style Tekin motors. If you are racing then the 5.5 on the SC motors. If you are bashing then pick your poison ;)

  • Gotta love the Squirrel!!!

So much learnt from your vids and forum!

I have been waiting on a comparison on these 2 for a little while. My friend bought the Jammin and loves it, but i didn't want to go out and buy the same and look like a copy cat, so i was seriously considering the Hyper or AE.

    Change of mind ;)

    Jammin it is!!!!!

Speaking of RC18T2, Squirrel, check out mine in the RC18 thread at Toyz. "RC18T2, My first kit project".

    Tekin all the way!!

    Thanks for your wisdom.

  • sweet man, ive been waitin for that vid :)

  • hey squirrel nice vid, i was wondering, is it better to convert a mini slash into a revo or use the Team rnr wheelextenders from the toyz

  • @DragonBlade991 Id convert the arms over to revo.

  • I love your videos but why ate they all so long? You should condense them to get straight to the point.

  • @skyliner2213 I cover the material that I have and take as long as it needs.

If you dislike the length of the videos- dont watch. Its my channel and I will put out what I like, what I want, and make them as long as I want. Just like if you have an issue then you dont have to watch.

  • @skyliner2213 skyliner you can shut the F*uck up asshole Iam so fuckin sick of hearing F*ucks like you tryin to tell Brian to make his videos shorter most people would like them to be longer so dont ever comment that BS again.

  • @madtrickster DAMN! HE SAID HE LOVED THE VIDEOS! AND NOT ONCE WAS HE EVEN REMOTELY NASTY!

  • @skyliner2213 If he condenses the information, you're gonna miss a lot. Squirrel knows what he's talking about, and he takes his time to make sure other people learn the information well. Don't like it? GTFO

  • Hey squirrel, I found out what was wrong with my servo. The servo saver was loose so i had to put some thread lock on it. lol

  • @drummaster728 Sweet!

  • cool! thats a good comparison!

  • squirrel

    I am running a losi 2.0

recently i notice that there are air bubble in the fuel line

I have check the tank for air leak by dipping the tank in water and blowing in air

    no air leak detected.

I have change to a brand new fuel line too

what could be the problem ?

    thks

  • @crosten Do you have fuel filters or anything else on the line?

  • Hi Squirrel

no fuel filters on the line except the clunk filter attach to the end of the fuel line. located inside the tank

    thks

  • Out of all my kits, my Slash 4x4 Platinum Edition is my favorite. Now if I like my Slash that much, I should really buy a Jammin SCRT10. If it is agood as you say it is, I might just bust a nut when I drive it...lol.

    Redcat sucks!

  • @Leprechaun79 If you ever want to try it before you buy....

  • @Squirrelod I will give it a try in late june or early July. I will be in the Seattle area around that time.

  • i whas woundering wy you did not have questions to your "Water VS Foams" mainly because i was woundering if they they have the closed cell for crawlers and if you would realy need them if you mainly arround snow also if the foam would affect the way the tires work on the rocks

  • @gotaxial I grew tired of the "its not a minute if it is 3 minutes long" and other immature comments. So, every PLM is no comment allowed.

Its also something that I am considering on other videos. I dont get paid to do anything nor do I have to answer questions. It takes a lot of time away from my work and family.

They do not make them for crawlers.

  • The new hyper 10sc 2.0 has a nylon spore gear

  • @blackedo23 This was filmed a few months back. Change is constant.

  • Hey squirrel I know this question is off topic for this video, but I have wanted to ask you this for a while. In your opinion what are some worthy upgrades for the savage flux besides the tvp's you showed? I think that the aluminum shock set looks nice, I have already bent a shock shaft so I am considering this. I already have rpm arms and better tires, I do not feel the need for a stronger servo. I look forward to your reply, thanks!

  • @nut3344 Stock savages, anymore, are pretty much what people were putting on them to fix them. There is not much to upgrade unless you are having issues with something specific. For your shock, consider the big bore, LST shock upgrade, or getting alum towers. RPM can get very flexy and that might be why.

  • Great vid, I have the Jammin and love it. Only thing I disagree on is the need for a 550 motor. I'm running mine with the Velineon system on 2s and the thing rips. Way faster than I need it to be.

  • @sloracer1080 Ive had the velineon in the hyper and it was ok. Lots of speed as well. Compared to a 550, it does not have the torque. If you have the choice to have either all speed or torque with that speed that allows gearing options; Ill take the one that is more versatile.

Its not for everyone, but many are running 550s now.

  • @Squirrelod That's true, the overhead torque is nice to have i'm sure. I race on a pretty tight track, so the Velineon does pretty well on it. I think a 550 would give me a ton of wheelspin. But like you said, to each his own :)

  • @Theslayervxl In a different vid. This one is on these two only.

  • You should do a review on the Tekin SC4X!!

  • And the CC 2400kv SC Mamba Max Pro System

  • @BamfSavage9 I wont do a review on a motor system. I have a 4.5 and two 5.5s on a MM Pro ESC. Great motors.

  • I'm wondering what your opinion on the Zippy/Fligthmax batteries is; so many people say good things but also so many bad things. I know that a fair few of them come with totally unbalanced cells.

    Thanks.

  • @daleyb93 That is all I use brother. ;) I will never, ever buy another Maxxpile again.

  • @Squirrelod

So what do you think of Kershaw Designs lipos?

I run them and they seem fine, no problems but they aren't too cheap so i feel good about it :-P

Zippies just seem too cheap to be good. like 20 bucks per 3s as if!

anyway you have a good review so maybe i'll get some :-D

  • @daleyb93 After all of my Maxamps ballooned I was hesitant to get more over the cost. That is when I tried Zippys with real hesitation. Every Zippy that I have bought since 2008 has been fine and I still have them. 2s, 3s, 4s, 6s, and 8s lipos. Id say that total I have owned about 30 of them with no issues or complaints.

Again, the last batch of MaxAmps was a $600 and all of them ballooned within a month. The batch before that, early 2007, I still have.

    I have continued...

  • @Squirrelod purchased other smaller scale maxamps as they were the ones offering the kit specific earlier. All of those have ballooned. Those were packs purchased in 09 and 10.

  • I know this has nothing to with the vid but where's your b44 at?

  • wich pro line 1/5 scale whells and tires would reccomend ?

  • @stampedvxl I like the trenchers honestly. Its what I have on mine. Way more durable than stock/

  • what have you done with the vendetta st in the background

  • The Hyper 10's steering issue can be solved by adding the Jammin Bellcrank.. sometimes its the best of both worlds.. I am running a Novak Ballistic SC 4.5 550 can in mine.. and its awesome

  • Would be awesome if you could have a review of these SC 4x4 trucks with TEKIN's SC4X 550 Motor. (?)

  • @xxgg

Sorry, I meant to ask how that Tekin SC4X 550 motor would be compare to your motor combo setup.

  • @xxgg Im not doing a review on a motor. I have a 4.5 and two 5.5s. Great motors and I use them with the MM PRo ESC.

  • thanx squirrel great video .

got a question about something different .

the D8 i converted it to brushless can you lmk the gear ratio for best result.

i have the 2200kv mamba monster . thanx for all the info.

  • @bigtree5476 Try it on a stock gearing and see how it does. If need be, go +2 until you are there. Typically, they are close to stock nitro anyways.

  • Great vid, Every time I watch your shows I learn something! Thumbs up.

  • whats the rc to the left in the back great vid by the way

  • @dwai94 18t2

  • looks like i would need the ofna :) thanks squirrel

  • @rcfreak363 No prob

  • awsome lol can u do more buggy 2wd comparisons...i understand ur busy tho so its fine if u cant

  • @idrummerboy13 Not a lot of requests on that. I am planning the 22

  • Will the Castle Sidewinder SCT combo with the 4pole 3800 kv motor be good for the SCRT10?

  • @leorcc Sure.

  • Hey Squirrel, I have a 4wd Slash and was wondering what tires I should get for my backyard track. Its mostly clay with some dirt on top. It's sometimes wet and sometimes dry. Got any suggestions?

  • @traxxasrc97 Snipers, bow figther, bow ties

  • good review! I must disagree on one thing though. A 550 is not needed for the Jammin. I personally run Castle's New SCT setup and been very impressed. ~ Moon

Oh ya gonna review the new TRX Monster Jam MT's? LOL!

  • @Moondeville1000 lol that system is a 550

  • @Moondeville1000 They were not available at time of filming. No SC specific motor was available then actually. I like the RX8 in mine and it will stay. I have the tekin SC 5.5 in the Hyper and a few others. Its a awesome motor and system.
