Danielle doesn't fail to impress even after almost a year since she won. I saw her in November and was amazed at how far she has come since the show - she was the only choice for Dorothy in my opinion and my choice too.

@22djw92 Unlikely, because she wouldn't have done it this well. The point of this was to prove Danielle was the all-rounder and could combine singing and dancing. Sophie is arguably a better singer, but her acting was not that great.

I think the reason why she won was because she really show cased her gift in singing, dancing, and acting. People can say that the song was easy and she did was just march around. But to do it on high heels and to be confident about it shows something about her personality. Also, what made Dorothy so great was Judy Garland. And what Judy had was the gift of putting all three (singing, dancing and acting) together and giving such passion in a performance. Danielle proved she was good at that.

imho as a performance i enjoyed it the most but 2nd to that of Mambo Italiano.

at 1st i was like lol omg what a weird and bizarre song choice, cause when at 1st she started singing, i was like oh know OTT cheesy song. but she made it not sound chessy & she nailed it in every area, and actually as a song i like it, but probably cause she performed it so brilliantly!! can't stop listening 2 it (along with mambo of course).

Danielle is the great all rounder that makes her the ideal winner. This song shows how her great voice, admitedly not the best in the competition, added to her acting ability meant she deserved to win. She shines performing this complicated performance, drawing in the audience to her performance.

She's right when they say her eyes tell a story. you can sort of see them change position as she's singing. "SPRINGING... UP... LIKE... WEEDS" hillarious.

I could understand why the panel thinks she is a fab actress. So do I. The best actress I have seen on these shows.

I hope they don't wreck her at drama school if she goes.

I love Danielle's voice. although it's probably the emotion or acting in what she sings that I like more than her ability as a singer. becuase she hasn't got the best sounding singing voice in the world, lets be honest. I actualy prefer it to sophie's though. Sophie often sounds quite shrill to me. I did not like sophie's voice much, although I know she's a good singer. and I liked her. just not my cup of tea. i think what you can do with the lyricks is more important.

luv this, she actually puts sum comedy into this. none of the other girls cud of performed it this well. and it shows another side to her and proves even more how versatile she is. i can imagine her one day doing a comedic role and not being type cast, unlike many of the other dorothys. her dancing is fab as per usual!!!!

I sang this when I was 8 in a school show. Bet I sounded awful. We all wore hats made out of cardboard, and sang in a group of our class. I knew the song only becuase of that, I have never seen the musical it comes from. I remember practising it in my living room. And we did "the entertainer" as well.

@maddimags She decided to do a different version of the last note and she did pull her version off. The big diva belt at the end is only something that has really started on this show. Neither Judy Garland or Eva Cassidy belt out the last note, so why should Danielle have to. Personally I prefer Danielle quieter and more controlled note at the end, to the big diva belt.

@Otterley07 I think her song choices were good and bad. Bad points are they aren't songs everyone knows, she had a lot more dancing than the others and a lot more room to mess up. The amount of dancing meant the vocal couldn't be great.

The good side was that she was the one doing musical theatre in a musical theatre show, it showed her personality and acting and it wasn't "the same old". Everything Sophie did, I've seen someone do better.  Danielle really stood out with these songs.

she won every mission as well dont forget! in johns mission he said she suprised him the most as she adopted a character, charlotte said she made the best impression and has the best voice for west end and in sheilas mission she said danielle was THE ONLY ONE to DO and not demonstrate and in andrews he said she nearly moved him to tears.. ANDD even the one were they were in the forest she was one of the three who were brave and went til oz! LOVE HER!

It's FAR harder to perform this than the Sun will come out tomorrow by the way. Remember this is a musical show and not the X-Factor. Look at the choreography, facial expressions and dancing plus the long complicated lines.

Sophie just stood still and sung. So much could have gone wrong with this, Danielle was amazing.

It may have been easier vocally than the other two, but by God she had to make up for it with vigorous choreography and physical acting, which the other two didn't have, or at least not to such a degree. Each song chosen, was rightly chosen to showcase their strongest points: Sophie's innocence, Lauren's soprano and Danielle's immersive acting skills and stage presence.
