What does red/pink mold on rice mean?

I looked it up and it said something about

"Monascus-fermented red mold rice (RMR) including multiple cholesterol-lowering agents, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory agents has been proven to ameliorate Aβ40 infusion-induced memory deficit in our previous study. "

I've been getting red/pink mold in my "good happy rice" and the normal dark/green/blackish mold in my "bad worthless hate" rice.

Idk if it's the same type of red mold or not?

hi, I have tried talking with my plant in my garden with "love" and "care". All those plant/s treated with "special LOVE grow flowers happily. Those without love still appear dry and weak. I am not sure why you keep experiment ? As a medical scientist , I know there are two truth: 1) you try prove this theory is right. 2) you try to prove this theory is wrong. @fleadle34 I think it wouldn't hurt giving it a try yourself. Who knows?? I would suggest all you is at least feel what you are writing down on the label. Think of something or someone you really love when writing "I LOVE YOU" and think of something you hate when you write "I HATE YOU". Then just leave the bottles somewhere and don't even look at them for 1 month or so. Will be interesting to hear back from you.

The thing is, this particular experiment is not a demonstration of a claim beyond the inexplicable phenomenon presented (like a claim of God). It's merely the demonstration of a phenomenon that isn't understood or given credence by the mainstream scientific community. I'm in the Atheist camp on most debates but, this is one of the few examples that makes me double check. It's good!

I think it has something to do with the sense of being stared at, witch is the title of a book by Rupert Sheldrake and I think you might be interested in Dean Radin's talks on the effects of human intention on random number generators.

oh yeah i forgot to mention ... u should conduct another rice test, but this time each day say the words on the bottle to the rice, ie. the ,"i love you" jar say i love you each day. to the i hate you jar, say "i hate you" everyday and to the[control] jar with nothing in it, ignore entirely. make sure to keep them at least 30 centimeters apart from one another, but in the same area. ;) take care!

my rice experiment results are interesting. i used white rice - 5 jars for love, 5 for hate and two control jars. 4 out of 5 of the love jars - after several months - had accumulated water; 4 out of 5 hate jars were dry. two control jars were also dry. 1 love jar was dry and 1 hate jar had water. i am thinking that i may have held the love jars longer, which may have heated up the jars. otherwise, intention had something to do with this. any responses would be greatly appreciated!!

I guess it's difficult to comment about your results because there could be so many things involved here which give you a different result. Perhaps your intention was different when labeling a few of them?? Where did you put the jars? In a cupboard? On the floor? Outdoors? Maybe a few of the jars were exposed to more light than the others??

@0871368021 i've put love and hate rice together and the love rice gets moldier. you can't "heal" rice after it has molded, but i suppose you can halt the decaying process. i have 5 jars each of love and hate - so i am certain that the results aren't from chance. it will take a while for the results. but, once they start degrading, i want to experiment with different jar combinations.

It is hard to believe this, and I don't like the assumption that it has anything to do with human emotions. I am pretty sure it has with sound waves to do and not some imaginary life force. I've seen this used as proof of this concept, don't like that at all. But this could potentially be useful if it is proven, that sound waves can have effect on biological processes. How did you conduct this experiment? Where all the jars in the same room aka did get the same amount of light and sound waves + other potentially external factors? Positive words usually has a more higher pitched sound to it while negative one has a more deeper, thanks and fool is a perfect example. on emoto- see debunking emoto on you tube. All scientific experiments such as this, require a large population sample. 2 rice jars prove nothing. Set aside 100 jars as controls, with no words. Then if you place another 100 jars of rice, put positive words on 90, and negative on 10, and those exact jars yield 100% rotten, and 100% clean rice, then the experiment would have some scientific merit. With out that, it is just random coincidence.

It doesn't react to "right" or "wrong"... It doesn't work that way. It would react to the person's view of right and wrong and on what the person's thoughts and views of Jesus and Satan are (and where where that person stands from a religious point of view).

The results would first be compared with what could be expected from chance alone. The reason why i used rice - it's been done before with rice...and it was something i had at home...I think it would work with other grains also...Keep us posted if you try it...

The experiment was originally done with water, photographing the water crystals. Since most people don't have the equipment to photograph water crystals, they do it with cooked rice based on the premise that it holds a lot of water, so there should be some visible effect. If you want to learn more just google it. Seems to be a bit controversial, many people see it as pseudoscience, I'm not sure where i stand yet

Thanks for the idea...good idea re: changing the labels...would be great if whoever sees this video tries it themselves...it's really easy to do and is great to try!! All you need to do is cook some rice and get 3 identical jars...put an equal amount in each jar and write 2 labels - one that says "I LOVE YOU" and the other that says "I HATE YOU" (the third jar leave without a label) Paste the labels at the bottom or on the side of the 2 jars. Try to feel the emotion when writing down-then wait!

How about you repeat the experiment for a month and then when the month is over change the negative label of the bad rice with a positive message and see if it can recover back to a nicer looking rice again.
