Hi, I'm Søren from Denmark. I hope that people who like this music will join up to receive "Reaching For The Best - The IAN LEVINE Newsletter". I'm doing a regular e-mail newsletter for people who are fans of Ian Levine's music, just like myself. If you too are a genuine fan of his productions, and you love seeing these videos, then send me a message with your e-mail address and I'll add you to the list. It's all free, it's with Ian's full co-operation, so please join in!
Thank you so much for this, Ian. I'm old enough to remember Joe Stubbs, and I have the 100 Proof song that was on Buddah Records, and had no idea that was Joe! I'd remembered his Falcons work with the late Wilson Pickett. Powerful work I wish they'd rerelease. Thank you for providing the history, I'd always wondered what became of him.
Thank You lanLevine, for showing us this clip and for the information. I did not know what happened to the Great Joe Stubbs. I did know that he passed away but I did not know that he went through so much before he went on home to glory.
It most certainly was not. It was Joe Stubbs. Dennis joined the Contours at least a year after that. Please do not post comments on my videos unless you get your facts right, as it is nothing more than plain insulting, to all of us, not least of all me.
Didn't Joe sing with The Originals and The Spinners. I love his lead on "Good Night Irene" from 1966 by The Originals. To bad he couldn't make it big as a solo act on the Motown label
I don't know about the Originals and Spinners but he was with the Falcons and briefly with the Contours and sang lead on "Just A Little Misunderstanding."
God bless Joe and Levi for their tremendous contribution to music. I know they are singing in heaven for all to hear!
Thank you soooooo much!
