hi, this is a great simple electric motorcycle and id love to build one myself. I was wondering if you could list the parts and where got them. that would be awesome! great job on the bike!
Hey great build! How are those Walmart batteries holding up for you, im looking to do my own 48 volt motorcycle conversion too and i see these batteries for cheap and they have a lot of amp hours. What's your max speed and Distance on those batteries too? Did you really do all this for just $1000?
the walmart batteries work great. They are 110 Amp/Hr. Only issue is that they are freaking heavy. IT would have cost a $1000 bucks if I had paid for a good motor and controller upfront. I paid for some crummy Chinese stuff in the beginning, which needed to be replace once it broke.
I had a honda dream.. you did it a service. but the music too loud and not my choice when watching you tube videos. :(

Be careful dude, that frame wasn't engineered for all that weight.
Especially at the neck.
It'll break sooner or later.
Nice work otherwise.

@joemurphyjr : beyond repair? you should see my '61 Pannonia TLF... :P But this bike is a nice project. Congrats! :)

@cobrachoppergirl
why not? it still has all the same style. its just minus a primitive noisy combustion engine that offends people as you drive by.

If the batteries are not deep cycle, they won't last long.
