  • Thank God for this healing Sacrament Jesus gave us. Baptism takes away original sin, what would we do afterwards? That Christ gave the Apostles the power to forgive sins by handing on the keys is our redeeming grace.

Thank you for a nicely defined post.

    Peace be with you.

  • I thought God was God and Jesus was Jesus.....Doesn't matter, it's all weaker minded retards praying to their gods even though if he were real, he had already forsaken all of you faggots so have fun with that.

  • GOD BLESS THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, THE TRUE CHURCH :)

  • John 10: 34

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, YE ARE GODS?

  • @Liebhabaer1974 sorry, you need to go find the channel " science fiction debates...."

  • Jesus didn't come to teach a new religion or to be worshipped.

He taught cosmic laws, an unknown higher science, natural laws like the force of gravity which can't be changed for own interests, to deliver from man-made religious duties.

The Ancient "Gods" of the heathens and the Bible had been extra-terrestial masters of Light, which taught wisdom and knowledge of the universe.

  • @Liebhabaer1974 "Jesus didn't come to teach a new religion or to be worshipped.

He taught cosmic laws..." OK, now we know where you get your information...TV. Jesus is our God, and I pray you learn the truth, and not internet and TV gossip. Remember, He has not forgotten you.

  • In the sermon on the mount Jesus didn't teach a sacrament of confession, to confess to a priest.

He taught forgiving each other for sufferings, not to take vengeance, not to judge by law "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth", which will always cause the escalation of violence.

    Matthew 6:

14 For if ye forgive men THEIR trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive YOU:

15 But if ye forgive not men THEIR trespasses, neither will your Father forgive YOUR trespasses.

  • Matthew 7: 1-16

1 JUDGE NOT, THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged...

    1 John 2:

7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but AN OLD COMMANDMENT which ye had FROM THE BEGINNING (=Genesis).

    => GENESIS 4:

15 Whosoever slayeth Cain (the brother-murderer), vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

  • Ezekiel 18:

21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

  • Matthew 5:

21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

    Matthew 7:

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye...

  • 3. Moses 19:

16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.

17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.

18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

  • Luke 17:

3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

    Matthew 18:

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

  • Matthew 7:

12 THEREFORE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER YE WOULD THAT MEN SHOULD DO TO YOU, DO YE EVEN SO TO THEM: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing...

  • @Liebhabaer1974 the catholic church teach this too. We read everything in the Bible, not just whatever pertains to people's tastes.

  • @joannelarcher

The Catholic Church are hypocrites like the Pharisees and didn't keep Jesus commandments in the Middle Age and even today in the USA.

    EZEKIEL 18:

21 BUT IF THE WICKED WILL TURN FROM ALL HIS SINS that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, HE SHALL SURELY LIVE, HE SHALL NOT DIE.

22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done HE SHALL LIVE.

  • @joannelarcher

    Matthew 5:

20 For I say unto you, That except your RIGHTEOUSNESS shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

    Matthew 6:

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

  • John 8:

7 He that is WITHOUT sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one...and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her,

NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE: GO, AND SIN NO MORE.

  • When did Jesus teach to pray the rosary?

    John 8:

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I AM THE LIGHT of the world: HE THAT FOLLOWETH ME shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

    Mark 11:

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, WHEN YE PRAY, BELIEVE THAT YE RECEIVE THEM, AND YE SHALL HAVE THEM.

25 When ye stand praying, FORGIVE, if ye have ought against any: that YOUR FATHER also which is in heaven may FORGIVE YOU YOUR trespasses.

  • Matthew 6:

1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven...

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men...

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions (like the rosary), as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

  • @Liebhabaer1974 John 20:23 "If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained."

Do you follow this commandment of Jesus or not?

  • @stevesilvia

John 20 must be a wrong translation.

But Jesus taught in parables which shows the right interpretation:

Compare the parables of Matthew 18: 21-35 and Luke 16: 1-9.

"For if ye forgive men THEIR trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive YOU:

But if ye forgive not men THEIR trespasses, neither will your Father forgive YOUR trespasses."

  • @Liebhabaer1974 really???? everything Jesus said was a parable?? How sad that you do know or follow the truth. If you have a question, just ask.

  • i was born a catholic and didn't become an atheist until recently! the notion of confession is absurd if god is omniscient.

  • stevesilvia, a FINAL, response to you I know more people who will not even regard or talk of a CREATOR let alone about Yahsua due to your so called faith if you choose to be brainwashed by a system instead of a real THINKER about it all (LIFE) you are closed minded, scripture is there for you not your pope, use scripture to prove me wrong not your popes system, in that day (CHRIST) many will call me LORD and I will say I never knew you! got to love the WORD!

  • @lowpull700 your problem is that you assume I am doing something wrong, and that you do not understand our faith. If you have a question, just ask...

  • stevesilvia, just a FINAL note having seen what the so called church and RELIGION have done to my family and (ancestors) (PEOPLE)you want me to turn a blind eye to what I see this age is for separation of the sheep and the goats what separates us WHAT WE BELIEVE! JESUS preached TALKED of a way of LIFE not RELIGION read for yourself! only two commandments encompass all tell that to the pope!

  • @lowpull700, it was what men did in the past, not the church. I disagree with your opinions, and your understanding of what a religion is.Your prejudice and hatred toward us and the Pope is completely un Christ like. You came here to vent anger and spread your gossip. I am here sharing my faith....I wonder what other Christians will think of your example...You preach about a way of life, yet your words reveal prejudice toward others...

  • stevesilvia and it is ok to allow false doctrine and traditions of men and say nothing just as CHRIST said nothing about the religions of his day, just let everyone do as they see fit is about as wrong as you telling me I"m pointing fingers if people THOUGHT for themselves and read the WORD for themselves and actually TALKED TO GOD themselves there would be no need for a churches you my friend your body (MIND) is TEMPLE of our CREATOR to bring a POINT to bear is the point!

  • all I need say is what the so called church pope did in the middle ages real BIBLICAL! GOOD fruit can not come from a bad VINE nice beginning, scripture that for me traditions of men END of story, plus why a so called man of GOD need protection by man where's the FAITH lead by example kiss my ring fools, least we forget jesuits and the love of the money EARTHLY TREASURE'S too

  • @lowpull700 funny how protestants believe that Jesus forgives sins, yet are the first to point fingers at others who sin, and say....end of story....We believe however, that man is in need of a Saviour who redeems us when we ask for forgiveness. What ever sins we commit, they are forgotten, and that person can start over. I never read in the bible where it says we should point our fingers at sinners and say."There is a sinner!"

  • WASHINGTON – The Jesuit order has agreed to ay more than $166 million to the more than 500 victims who suffered sexual abuse when they were kids in Catholic schools in five states of the U.S. northwest, the victims’ attorney said.

Most of those affected are Indians who suffered abuse at the hands of priests in what is known as the Oregon Province of the Society of Jesus, which includes the states of Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Montana, according to the local press.

  • @angelcollector22 Part 1

You wrote, "But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"

Yes! Now we're getting somewhere. You are quoting Mt 9:6, but as you correctly pointed out, "The worse way to study the Bible is verse by verse." So let's see what Matthew writes just two verses later. He writes that God "had given such power to men." MEN--plural! Weird, huh?

  • You should all read about these people: Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch, Polycarp of Smyrna, Irenaeus of Lyons Clement of Alexandria, Origen of Alexandria, Athanasius of Alexandria, Cyril of Alexandria, John Chrysostom, Tertullian, Ambrose of Milan, Jerome of Stridonium, Augustine of Hippo, Gregory the Great. don't take what I say..... Take what the Early Church fathers said, I do have videos, in regards to our faith... I would love you to watch them

    . May God bless everyone!

  • Hi again...

So I want to know something....

What is the Catholic belief as to what happens to a Catholic should they not get to confession before a sudden death, but, do have time to plead directly to God through Jesus.

    I am curious.

Is that confession directly to Jesus just as valid? Does God hear?

Do you believe God hears my prayers even though they are always and ever directly made to Jesus?

I am guessing you do believe God hears me...just want feedback.

  • @angelcollector22, in John 20:23 Jesus says to his Apostles, "Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them: and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained." It doesn't say that the only way to have your sins forgiven are through confession. However, there is a reason that Jesus said that sins would be forgiven this way. It teaches us to learn humility. Thanks for the great question!

  • @angelcollector22 "Is that confession directly to Jesus just as valid? Does God hear?"

It really doesn't even make sense to confess your sins to God. God already knows what you did. Sure you can repent and ask for forgiveness, but why confess to God?

Jesus gave the Apostles the power to forgive sins on earth, but He did not give them the power to read minds. This is why confession is necessary. This is the way Jesus set it up. Confession (or Reconciliation) is a sacrament of healing.

  • @WorkingCatholic

Sure it makes sense to confess to God.

If your child does something he should not do and you know he did it, would you not want your child to come to you with repentance for what he had done?

Would you expect him to go to a neighbors house to confess what he had done to his friends Dad or would you expect him to come to the one he has wronged?

Remember the veil was torn in two so we could go directly to God for repentance.

  • @angelcollector22 "Sure it makes sense to confess to God."

My point is that it makes no sense to confess to God--He already know what you did. You repent to God and ask forgiveness. The way Jesus set it up was for you to confess to the Apostles (and now their successors).

"would you not want your child to come to you"

Well, of course, because I'm not God. Just as the Apostles and priests are not. That is why confession is necessary. That is why Jesus established confession.

  • @WorkingCatholic

Jesus set it up that we can confess to God through Him.

But, since you want to confess to a human being, you do so and I will keep going to Jesus.

Thank you Jesus for the veil torn. Thank you Jesus for being our mediator. Thank you Jesus for your suffering and death on the cross, thank you for crushing the serpents head...Thank you for making our resurrection possible when you conquered death and hell.

Thank you, thank you, thank you...In Jesus name, amen.

  • Comment removed

  • @angelcollector22 "Jesus set it up that we can confess to God through Him."

I disagree. I think Jesus established a sacrament of healing that the Church calls confession or reconciliation, whereby we are to confess our sins to a priest.

Which of the following do you deny?

    - That Jesus gave the Apostles the power to forgive sins on earth (through God, of course)

    - That the successors to the Apostles (priests) were given these same powers

    - That the Bible tells us to confess our sins

  • @WorkingCatholic

I deny that the apostles can forgive sins...and the verse from John 20 does not suffice for your position. There are too many other words spoken by our Lord that says the opposite. The worse way to study the Bible is verse by verse...scriptures as a whole are very clear that Jesus forgives sins and that He is the mediator between God and man.....Jesus took over the Melchizedek priesthood once and for all....no matter what you say, that fact remains.

  • @angelcollector22 Part 7

If you're still with me, thanks.

The Bible tells us to confess our sins to one another and that God gave man the authority to forgive sins.

Jesus gave the Apostles the power to forgive sins but not the power to read minds. So in order for them to know what to bind and what to loose, people have to confess.

You might also want to read 2 Cor 5:17-20 about reconciliation.

And in James 5:13-16, James makes clear that sins are forgiven in the sacrament of anointing.

  • @angelcollector22 Part 6

Can you name just one Christian prior to Martin Luther who was not taught that Jesus established the Sacrament of Confession whereby people could have their sins forgiven? No, because they don't exist. I think it is an arrogant position to maintain that every Christian for the first 1500 years was wrong. If you believe that God doesn't change (Mal 3:6) then what did change? How did Protestant suddenly become more enlightened than all of the Apostles, saints, and martyrs?

  • @angelcollector22 Part 5

"The worse way to study the Bible is verse by verse"

I absolutely agree. If more people agreed with us there would be more Catholics. Protestants have to pick the verses which they can twist to support their heresies, but there is nothing in the Bible that contradicts Catholic doctrine. Why would there be? It's a Catholic Book. You might also want to consider what the earliest Christians believed and how the Bible was understood throughout history.

  • @angelcollector22 Part 4

God told Adam and Eve that they would die if they ate the fruit, and the devil said they would not. Was the devil right? Of course not. God was not speaking of their physical life, but of their immortal spiritual life that he had breathed into Adam. Do you see a connection? The breath of God has power. When Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit on the Apostles in Jn 20:22 he gave them His power.

  • @angelcollector22 Part 3

"the verse from John 20 does not suffice for your position."

I maintain that Christ's plan is revealed throughout the Gospels. His entire ministry led up to establishing His Church on earth. That said, Jn 20:19-23 is very important. Jesus gave the Apostles the power to forgive sins on Easter Sunday. This shows the connection between the Resurrection and spiritual life. He gave them this power by breathing on them. Where else do we see this? Gen 2:7 when God created man.

  • @angelcollector22 Part 2

Also, note that in Jn 20:21 Jesus says, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you"

Well, how did the Father send Jesus? As you already pointed out, the Father sent Jesus with "authority on earth to forgive sins." So this is how Jesus sent His Apostles. You are building a strong case against yourself.

Is there anywhere in the Bible that says to confess our sins to God alone? No

Is there anywhere in the Bible that says to confess our sins to one another? Yes, James 5:16

  • @WorkingCatholic

What Jesus did on the cross was and is sufficient.

You all want to keep the veil intact.

    Not sure why.

We are blessed that it ripped in two....that we can come boldly before the throne of grace.

For now, though, I am trying to witness to a Mormon and also a young man that seems to have some remnants of calvinistic beliefs, so believes that he has no choice but to spend eternity away from God.

They are more important right now than stubborn Catholics that add to His word.

  • @angelcollector22 "stubborn Catholics that add to His word"

Catholics are the only ones to follow God's word, and we have added nothing. In fact, if you consider the Bible to be the entire word of God (which it is not), then you have the Catholic Church to thank for establishing the canon and determining which books are and are not inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Please give an example to back up your accusation.

    Jesus

  • @WorkingCatholic I have no desire to argue with such stubborness.... example: rosary Anything to do with Mary aside from what was taught about her by the apostles. purgatory transubstantiation 2005 claim by RCC that one should not expect “total accuracy” from the Bible. “We should not expect to find in Scripture full scientific accuracy or complete historical precision,” they say in The Gift of Scripture RCC form of confession (even if one could argue that it is biblical (you can't)
  • @angelcollector22 Part 2

An example of scientific inaccuracy would be in Joshua 10:3 when the sun "stood still." The story was written at a time when people thought the sun moved around the world. Big deal. I wouldn't get all worked up over it. The story still makes the same point with or without scientific accuracy.

  • @angelcollector22 Part 1 "one should not expect “total accuracy” from the Bible."

I'm not quite sure what you are referring to here, but I have a guess. The Church teaches that the Bible is the written word of God. We believe every word of it for the truths that it intends to teach. However, we understand that it is not always historical or scientific. For instance, we are free to believe that Gen 1-11 are made up stories to teach truths.

  • @angelcollector22 "I have no desire to argue with such stubborness"

And I take no joy in dealing with ignorance, but here we are.

How have I been stubborn? By successfully defending my position.

Like I said the Bible is not the entire word of God. It is the written Word that previously was part of the Church's oral tradition until it was eventually written down. Not all was written. Purgatory, Marian doctrines, and the real presence are older than the Bible.

  • @WorkingCatholic

And as I say to my mormon debators....

even if....even if......maybe, God has not finished speaking.....

Not one jot or title of doctrine should contradict what is in the Bible

and you all do contradict what the Bible says in many of your doctrines...

Your "new" doctrines should match completely what the apostles recorded.....they don't match...

therefore it is a new doctrine that the Bible calls accursed....

Its not me calling it accursed...that is God breathed words.

  • @angelcollector22 "you all do contradict what the Bible says in many of your doctrines"

I'm just an average Catholic, and yet I have had no problem answering each of your questions. I still maintain that the Church does not contradict the Bible in even one place. So please, give an example.

  • @WorkingCatholic

    Now respond as you may....

I will choose when I respond back....

I am busy right now with more critical matters.

    Later.

  • "But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins "

    Jesus

  • .

    Nice video. Thank you,

    God bless the Church !!

God bless Pope Benedict XVI !!

  • Episcopalains and Lutherans are also expected to take full advantage of Confession and Absolution. Of my brother in Jesus, I beg of you, speak the whole truth to do the most good.

  • I would ask any non Catholic to show me where Jesus states in the bible NOT to confess to one another.( if you state one another, not a priest. I will say your still confessing to who you claim is a man/women!!! Where does it it states not to confess to a man "ONLY" to Jesus?

  • @EucharistismyGod Because Jesus Christ is a man, the Son Of God, not girl or women, and Priests represent Jesus Christ, a man, the Son of God.

  • @joannelarcher You have obviously miss understood what I wrote.I know this too be true........God bless

  • IF people would really read what is going on in the bible. You would realize that through out the entire bible the Lord always worked through man His creatures. You see no where in scripture that they read on there own and complete understood God. God works through His people. Jesus established a Church (not many) and it was through the church that the bible was given to us.

Jesus is one body= 1 Holy Church. 1 teaching,1Authority.All guided by the Holy Spirit.

  • @RubysTableTalk Here is a question for you. If scipture is teh only authority then why is it that there are over 30k different understanding of the word of God? Does this not contridict What peter wrote ......

  • How can even this simple matter be so controversial?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • booku4, we need a priest, just as the first Christians needed a priest, just as we needed the Apostles and Disciples. Read the history of the first Christians and the New Testament also explains it.

  • no thank ya I will go to the Father by my self just as they did thank you! :)

  • you can twist the word to say what ever you want it to say but it does not mean what you want it to! They did not go a man they after the death of Yesu went to YWHW alone because we are now our own Priest the word says so. that is why to certain was torn.

  • So why are you allowed to make twist it and not look up what it really means? then teach false teachings? I am stating facts you are not!

  • Read John 20:23....

    Those are the facts.

    Faith is not a buffet.

  • respecting man's relationship to God, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervor born of faith and joined with it relating to God , the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ Yesu relating to Christ,

  • a strong and welcome conviction or belief that Yesu is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God, the beliefs of true Christians, belief with the predominate idea of trust (or confidence) whether in God or in Christ, springing from faith in the same, fidelity, faithfulness ,the character of one who can be relied on

  • Is the idea of a priesthood not in the New Testament?

    1) First Matthew 28:1820, where Jesus commissioned the apostles to go "baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." This twofold ministry of baptizing and teaching can be summarized in the phrase "the ministry of word and sacrament." In other words, the apostles and those after them were to preach the Gospel and administer the sacraments.

  • 2) John 20:1923, where Jesus empowers the apostles with the authority to confer forgiveness on the penitent. See verse 23: "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained." This power to forgive sins, to convey Gods forgiveness through the sacrament of confession, is clearly a part of the priestly function of Christ. In this text, Jesus is conveying this authority to his apostles.

  • 4) "Do this in memory of me" was a command from Jesus for the apostles to do exactly what he did that night. They were to repeat this action in perpetuity. His actions were priestly because he was offering the bread and wine just like Melchizedek did (Gen. 14:1720).

  • We are now Royal Priest 1Pe 2:9 and Kings why would you need to go to a priest and what was the need for him to split the certain? You are not getting it because of the dogma you have been taught!!! There is nothing else for us to converse over here.

  • Please show me where in the BIBLE the word the sacraments are used just once? Yes he told them to go out and tell them of him and get them saved and baptized in water then in the HOLY SPIRIT. But not the way you are speaking of your brainwashed I will not argue with you

  • Excuse me you are RUDE! I am not and you can not find it because it is not in the BIBLE the subject was not priesthood but your lack of knowledge and I was NOT talking with you and will not any longer.

  • You were. And you said you would not talk anymore.

    Please...take your own advice.

  • Yes you are VERY RUDE!

  • Yes...knowledge is very rude.

Spare me your false bravado. Before you vilify another faith...look in the mirror.

  • Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.( somewhere you do not understand this scripture )

  • YHWH tells us not to Bebate

  • One more thing...brush on your English.

  • mapollo-you do know that booku4,

RubysTableTalk, cwednight, and truth2me are all weman? lol and we all beat the socks off of you!

  • @cwednight

And why does that matter? Perhaps you can answer the question that Ruby cannot.

  • She did not say she could not answer your question, she said as I will agree it is pointless!

  • @cwednight

She said she knew the answer...but won't. Are all of you pouting? Petulant little kids?

Answer the question....what was the Word of God before 1611?

  • Impressive use of Scripture in all your messages mapollo!

  • Thank you...Scripture is, of course, the source of our beliefs.

  • What flavor of cool-aid are you drunk on today? Royal grape or scarlet Red Cherry, as you have taken your daily brainwashing as you worship the SUN GOD?

  • RubysTableTalk, if you want to know the truth, just ask...

  • I'm drunk on the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:14-2).

  • One must be care not to blaspheme the Holy Spirit or you will condemn yourself to eternal punishment. When was the last time you bowed before someone other than the King of Kings and kissed his hand? Shall I name him? The Pope !

  • "Shall I name him? The Pope ! "

How about a judge, magistrate, head of state etc...

    Give your head a shake.

  • do you bow to them to? I bow to NO ONE but the KING OF KING!

  • Yes. Perhaps you should take your head out of that hole called the U.S. and look around the world. In Canada and England we call the magistrate/judge 'My Lord'..and we bow to him/her. We have a Governor General who is the Queen's representative...we bow to her/him and address her/him accordingly.

You are incrediblly foolish. And your false bravado is just that...false.

Inform yourself...thus far you have merely revealed how little you know and how rude you are.

  • I obey only my Father and do only what he said. And i bow only to him. I do not care what people think!

  • "I do not care what people think! "

But in fact you do. Otherwise you would not be here denigrating our faith and beliefs.

  • No you have that very wrong! I am trying my best to show you what you believe is not in the Word of GOD it is man made.

I only care what God thinks he will be my Judge not man.

  • What do you think is the "Word of God"??

  • well to start with a King James version with real name of the Lord in it like a "1611" version. With all the books in it as well including book of Enoch.

  • So...what was the Word of God before 1611?

  • are you bored?

  • Are you devoid of intellect?

If not..answer the question...what was the Word of God before 1611?

Or is the question a problem?

  • No, I know the answer but this is going no where and I am getting bored with your questions. I am declining to answer and begin off of answering any more of your questions.

  • @RubysTableTalk

"I know the answer but this is going no where"

Come on...humor us. Tell us the answer...unless you are afraid to....

  • mapollo, thanks for the question. ruby will not answer the question, but it will remain on their minds... Why would any one be afraid to answer that question? Or should I say why would any one not answer it?

  • Hi Steve....long time :)

yes...the question can be very profound...as well as the answer...

  • Excuse me the question was answered and you removed IT! Excuse me the question was answered and you removed IT! The Geneva Bible and before the Tanakh

  • Sun God? What's that about? We worship the Holy Trinity. A truth you wouldn't know about had not the Catholic Church preserved the deposit of faith passed down by Jesus Christ. Who, by the way, did not write any Scripture, but established a Church and Traditions which He commanded the Church to pass down.

  • Catholics think they can sin then just admit to it and be saved. Wankers !

    All religion is a lie.

Also, just in case people read this.... It is impossible today for a woman to have a baby without either having a root,or being inseminated, JUST LIKE IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE 2010 years ago !!

Wake up people ! Religion is a lie.

    Just ask Billy Connolly !

  • James 1:27 Pure RELIGION and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

    Is this a LIE?

  • As a catholic to be , I thought confession/reconciliation was a good thing...and now that i am in , it is a lot tougher than I thought it would be...but...that is because it is supposed to be.

    Tom in Utica

  • Yes I can see that it would be very hard telling a man all our sins when a loving God is the one you should be telling them to! He will throw them all way and never remember them again into the sea of forgetfulness! Praise his name for ever. Blessings to you

  • @RubysTableTalk

God does a lot of things on His own I think and I'm shore that He does what you say only.... Jesus is trying to get Humans to participate more fully in His Magnificent act of redemption. that's why he said pray together. you now "more than one" You can be a hermit. christian or a group of hermits that gather on sunday. But for most Humans a community effort is more wholesome. just as you Mary in public in front of a minister. you confess also in the presence of a minister.

  • patfealy -Redemption was competed on the cross; we do not need a man to confess to. I do not do any thing as Mary; she is NOT my example Yesu is. I attend Sabbath meetings thank you

  • that is good. but when you get married don't use a pastor. Jesus is the only high priest. just get Married alone in a field with your spouse. No witnesses. we only need God and the Bible. anything else is Pagan. No candles, no congregation, no building, and no pastors. Jesus is the only pastor. don't talk to anyone God is jealous. He will strike you down if you speak to anyone except Him

  • YHWH is jealous God that is true he is. But he told us to obey the laws of the land. As for candles you are correct in that all the way!

  • god is going to get you. watch out

  • Go dis going to get you lol for what ?

  • RubysTableTalk, what he meant was that you pray in public in front of a minister. As for your comment, we do confess to God, but we do it the way Jesus asked us to do it...(as it is explained in Scriptures)

  • that is NOT in the Word of God, or many be in your Bible bit not in the real one!

  • Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.Micah 7:19

  • Been awhile, this is a great video on our faith.

  • jesus said you are peter and upon this rock i will build my church.(math 16:18,19).i will give you the keys of heaven.whatever you shall bind on earth will be bound in heaven;whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

  • He then went on to say "get behind me satan" >The gates of hell prevailed againts peter, but not against his proclamation of Jesus as the messiah

  • But Christ didn't say anything about the gates of hell prevailing against Peter, he said the gates of hell will never prevail against his Church. Peter's confession is not the Church.

  • Jesus provides me with absolution from my sin, Not an ordained man.

Heb 7 23 onward specifically 27 " unlike other high preists he does not need to offer sacrifices daily first for his own sins and then for the sins of other people. He sacrificed for their sins once and for all when he offered himself . For the law appoints high preists men who are weak; but the oath, whichcame after the law appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever." HE is my all sufficient saviour. not a preist

  • Jesus4president89, oh so the bible is wrong when it says to confess to one another, instead of confessing to God??

  • jesus4president, show me where in the bible Jesus says to confess your sins directly to God. The bible does say, James 5:16 - "confess your sin to one another ... that you may be healed."

It does not say, confess your sins to God so you may be healed...

  • Steve, The bible says confess your sins to one another because this is how jesus intended it. That is if i do wrong against my brother i should confess to him and ask his forgiveness. If i have sinned against God and the life Jesus intended for me then I ask forgiveness of God through Jesus. I can give you many examples of where Jesus becomes the sufficient sacrifce. One major one being in the lords prayer which was jesus' guideline for his followers to pray in which he says...

  • (praying to the father) "forgive us our trespasses" then goes on to say " as we forgive those who trespass against us (confess to each other). Jesus never says to skip on asking forgivness of God. There are also a heap of refferences in the Gospell and following letters that proclaim Jesus as the fully sufficient sacrifice of our sins and through HIM alone we are saved. If you do not know them i will be glad to collect some for you. let me know what you think. One love Brother
