ahh!!! this takes me back to my primary school days and going down to the tv room to watch schools programmes on either the bbc or itv schools on ch4!!! i just wish that more people would upload more bbc and itv schools on ch4 full length programmes so that people who grew up in the 80's and 90's can watch them and relive their childhood!!! does anyone know where abouts online i'll be able to watch full length 80's bbc and itv schools on ch4 progammes? as i have been dying to watch them!
@rimmersgirl81 aw me too! i remember in yr2 we used to go to the music room and theyed wheel in this ancient vhs/tv in the room and we would watch all of these, i liked the greaat fire of london one cant find it online :(
I young man in the stable was Georgina's boyfriend in Grange Hill (the sprinter) who went to interview Linford Christie for the school paper. Thank great clip from 'WATCH' ! Loved Watch and Zigzag..
This was a truly great show, loved it, I remember now this episode is how I first ever learnt about what shire horses are :D
The one I always remembered was when they travelled to Elizabethan times to meet Q.E and then they had to sing Green Sleeves really quickly to go back to the present in time lol, anyone remember that?
I know that guy playing the blacksmith...wasn't he in Grange Hill or something?...and was the old guy the crowman in Worzel Gummidge?...AGH!This is really gonna bug me now!!
I used to watch this when I was small. I used to watch a lot of stuff like this, in fact. This was one of my favorite episodes, but I watched loads of them. Louis Brail, Queen Elizabeth I, Samuel Peypes(sp?), the one where they went back to their old house as it used to be and met the people who lived there then... so many happy memories.
wow, I feel ancient now!
I know he was played by Geoffrey Bayldon, but strangley Grandad reminds me of Willim Hartnell!
