I hope I can help you with directing in the future with tips. In directing a show based on an English novel, you should have the actors speak in accent, even if its a tiny accent. The frog footman has a Southern US accent and he's tooa ctive for the frog footman.

Alice is too boring, she's not bitchy enough. She's just reading the lines but she's not being Alice.
