I know Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy were great...but when Redd Foxx was at his peak, he STILL made me laugh as hard or harder than any other comic I've ever heard. There's some bits he did, I seem to recall one about missing the toilet when you piss, where it sounded like the audience was going to DIE they were all moaning and laughing so hard. And he NEVER seemed to try hard.

Evaluation: Redd Foxx is the type of comedian/philosopher that pushes boundaries. With that said, I dare anyone in the crowd to heckle him. He seems "heckle-proof." You can't heckle him because he performs and attacks the audience simultaneously. That's hard for any asshole in the crown to step up against. lmao Pure genious!

I remember one line, Lemont was in traffic court for running a yeild, Fred got up to defend Lemont and said looks around, there's enough N*****'s in here to make a tarzan movie. Making a point at how biased the courts were. S&S would once and a while make off color jokes now and then, but it was a time when you had that, All In The Family, and The Jeffersons. Different times. Not sure if people were more tolerant or just more blunt. Loved watching S&S though, learned what ripple was.
