  • When I was his age i got to drive in my dads peterbilt 379 on the interstate it was just like this but on the interstate of course i wasnt really driving just had my hands on the wheel but at the time i felt like king of the road

    My dad taught me how to drive my uncles old Allis-Chalmers HD6G dozer w/ loader when I was 5 1/2. Still remembered how when I drove it again 12yrs later and the plate with the shift pattern for the trans was gone. :D

  • Awesome! And no doubt about it the best school around. I remember loving to even ride in the passenger seat when I was that age. But I always wanted to steer or at least split gears. Lol

  • That's how I got my start, too! My Dad would put me on his lap, in our old Studebaker....I'd drive around the parking lot, manuveuring around the meters...sometimes, I'd do the gas, and he'd steer, but mosly, I steered. I had my own little "pumper" car as a kid and would 'drive' up and down North Wood Avenue, handing out tickets to pedestrians and cops on the beat! lol! Born to drive!
