When I was his age i got to drive in my dads peterbilt 379 on the interstate it was just like this but on the interstate of course i wasnt really driving just had my hands on the wheel but at the time i felt like king of the road
My dad taught me how to drive my uncles old Allis-Chalmers HD6G dozer w/ loader when I was 5 1/2. Still remembered how when I drove it again 12yrs later and the plate with the shift pattern for the trans was gone. :D
Awesome! And no doubt about it the best school around. I remember loving to even ride in the passenger seat when I was that age. But I always wanted to steer or at least split gears. Lol
Haha I remember doing this with my dad. at that age you feel high and mighty. I'm trucking for a living now at the age of 19 O/O. I'm proud of your boy good for you!!
LOL i remember my dad leting me do the same lol leting me drive his kenworth W900 lol but now im older he lets me pin up the trailer and other stuff lol
COOL VIDEO. He even looks like a little trucker. He'll probably be one of those trainees who start driving already knowing how to properly back a trailer and not grind the gears. Good Job!
That's ok, as long as you understand, you and your future family will give up some time together. It's hard to understand this side of the equation until you have kids. Good luck to you! See ya
That's how I got my start, too! My Dad would put me on his lap, in our old Studebaker....I'd drive around the parking lot, manuveuring around the meters...sometimes, I'd do the gas, and he'd steer, but mosly, I steered. I had my own little "pumper" car as a kid and would 'drive' up and down North Wood Avenue, handing out tickets to pedestrians and cops on the beat! lol! Born to drive! Great video, thank you so much for sharing that!!!
Yep, if you look at him when I have to grab the wheel for a second, you'll notice he's looking in the mirror and forgets to look forward, LOL. But he does good for 5yrs old. Thanks for the comment. See ya
haha same school i went to il never forget that old general dad let me use lol
