He knew , being an ex cop, that his daughter would be found not guilty he knows how the law works and being an ex cop he covered his tracks very well But he put his daughter thru hell hence the GUILT and attempt at suicide
If Casey accidentally killed her daughter, she wouldn't be such a louse as to have other people implicated in the disappearance of her daughter. She would have been so upset as to what she accidentally had done, that her distraught & hurt at losing her daughter would have been more than she could have tolerated. Truth - she lied so much throughout this case & showed no emotion, other than for herself. I believe Case DELIBERATELY killed Caylee. She wanted to be permanently rid of her.
If it was a accident which I think is what happened ( overdose ) Intentionally giving drugs to a baby is NOT an accident and neither is putting duct tape over mouth and nose....

This will come down to "Caylee died by accident". And they will say that yes it was improper for Casey to lie and dump the body and try to cover it up - but she is innocent of murder since the baby died by accident. It is all splitting hairs and nit picking. If Biez thinks that any rational person believes that a phantom nanny kidnapped and killed Caylee...then he is an idiot. Oh wait - he is an idiot! When asked flat out who is the "one armed man" in this case they wouldn't answer. They wouldn't say who the guilty party is just that "they have a defense in which Casey is innocent". Translated, this means that for the charge of murder they feel she is innocent. NOT that Casey isn't responsible for Caylee's death (continue in next post)

Unfortunately for you, then(anf fortunately for those defendants who MIGHT be innocent), but in this country you cannot convict a person because of suspicions & lies told by the suspect(s)......remember, it's innocent until proven guilty, not the other way 'round.
