  • I heard that many Filipino girls want to marry white men because white men can afford everything..? Is that true? Someone told me, i don't remember that.

  • I love the music. I use it in some of my films. Thats Kevin MacCleod. Gymnopedia No 2. Love it.

  • Hey that's the Wilshire & Vermont station station, I live very close. I'm assuming your Filipino too because of the key chain. Very nice video too, I actually wanted to make some of my own and stumbled upon this one.

  • @selenaheartspickles That's exactly where that is. What did you want to make?

  • @poolboyinla I wanted to start making short films myself.

  • @selenaheartspickles These may not be the ideal camera for that because you can't plug in an external mic so they would not be great for short films with dialog. If you want a cheap pocket cam that can take external mics, buy a Kodak Playtouch.

  • Cool Video !

  • @SMrandomvideo I believe it's different vides that he edits together

  • Hello, I was just wondering how you start and stop your video, because on my camera you have to film many different videos and then make it all into one big movie. PLEASE REPLY!!!

  • @SMrandomvideos not sure I understand your question.

  • @SMrandomvideos I mean like do you film many different videos and edit them all together. Or is it already all one video but you can just start and stop it. PLEASE REPLY!!!

  • scary--where is your family?

  • how did u do that when ur up there then you get down there at the starting

  • @chancepants76 Not sure what you mean.

  • wow kakabitin yun ah.. i could help you to fix your things.. for FREE!! =)

  • Where is this place?

  • @ayinozendy The train from North Hollywood to Koreatown.

  • was it hd flip or normal flip?

  • @maplestar67 First generation.

  • How did u do this with the flip share editing. I mean the music and everything. Please please let me know.

  • @organicfoodiecutie I used Adobe Premiere.

  • OMG! your apartment got robbed :)

  • I like this! i have a filp too maybe i should do this :P

  • Good directing, but terrible acting... :P You try so hard to look serious... haha, but seriously, good video

  • lol.. this is dumb.. i like it.. 5 stars

  • I would like to know, what is the name of this song?

  • ahahahahha pretty sweet how you use a FLIP cam to make a short film, and u took the purple line wishire vermont right ahhahahah i take that train to before cus me and my friends eat at this good korean bbq place around there. good film, i use a KODAK PLAYSPORT HD 1080p setting with my short films then i just color correct it, looks pretty sweet check out my vids. i just got in the habbit of making shorts also

  • What editing program? Thanks.

  • This is beautiful.

  • @Lex3U I really appreciate that.

  • Thanky Travis my friend , have nice day

  • Very very good my friend

  • cheer up buddie..! talk to a bum at the station.. something.. thats what i doo! ha. w/ my flip!

  • This Is Great!

  • haha nice

  • how did you get the transition from diferrent videos to go up atomatically...mine fades into the other and i dont know how to change it

  • @jinxmike huh?

  • @jinxmike thats what im trying to figure out! like every time it goes to the next clip instead of just clipng over it fades into it !

  • @jinxmike same i want to change that! D:

  • i thought it was very dark and artistic. a clash between craziness and harmony

  • hey could u please tell me the title of the song on this vid?? i've heard it b4 i think on the... arghh

please tell me cuz its bugging my brain x_x

  • lol, did others stare at you?

  • no one even noticed what I was doing because of the small size of the Flip and it doesn't look like a traditional camera.

  • without having read the discription I totally thought you were glad getting home then walking felt like you were being watched...as you walked into the room I expected you to find your wife/girlfriend cheating on you...or you were robbed but guess it's just a mess in there lol :-D great vids!!!!!!5stars again!

  • I don't know if you tried it, but how easy or difficult is it to convert a movie (what is the max length anyway?) to dvd that can be played in any standard dvd player?

I ask this question because I ran into a problem of this sort with another camera.

  • The only thing I didn't like was the shakiness of the camera at times...maybe a homemade steadicam if its possible on these devices? Other than that I liked it. Where ever you live, its looks kinds of dark and loney but your apartment looks like mine. No place like home.

  • There is no image stabilzation in these cameras so shakiness pretty much come with he territory. Awesome cameras other than that.

That place where I lived(Los Angeles' Koreatown) is very dark and lonely and I found out riding the subway is lonely. I set out to make a happy fun video but I quickly found out it is not a fun experience.

  • @poolboyinla

I think the reason it's so lonely riding the subway is because everyone in LA forgot we even had one. I've lived here my entire life and I didn't remember we had a subway here until you mentioned it lol.

  • This was really cool! The subway scene was really organic and filled with expression.

  • Good you got home safe, Travis. C",)

  • So basic but yet so complex! love it

  • Superb :)

  • the suspense was aweome!

the score in the background complimented the eeriness of thaose scary moments in a dark city

  • I love your filipino key chain xD 5 stars

  • Now THAT is some cool stuff!

  • Nice Docu., but sadly you can't do that in our country or else your flip cam might get snatched. I love the music and all the scenes, but the best part is the shot of the key chain where I saw Philippine flag on it. It seems to me like you're treating our country as your home, even though it's messed-up, but a home is still a home... And home is the best place to be.

  • Flip cams have an annoying stabilization issue, in that they have no stabilization. great video considering the available tech!

  • Woah really cool I liked it. Hope this video gets more attention. The idea is kind of like these videos I'm trying to do right now haha but not as artistic as yours. And muchmore immature. Ha.

  • i was shocked to see your room.

maybe you should hire a nice old lady to come every week to help you tidy up ^_^

  • Cool. 5 ***** =D !!

  • Wonderful!

  • ty for the time nice

  • this is great for a test shoot. very natural and artistic.

praise God for blessing you with such a brilliant talent in acting and filmmaking.

the best for you is yet to come. keep that patience and optimism.

  • hey can that flip thing upload on macs?

  • yes it can

  • nice. i agree with the person who said that you made something boring, meaningful. the music really did set the tone. keep having fun with it.

  • LOL. Now that you mentioned it, Key Drug was right there... I pass by Vermont everyday --I work near Children's Hospital.

  • alangya, halos magkapit bahay pala tayo dati, jan ako sa tabi ng shell e. sa 7th and vermont!!!

    way to go kapitbahay!!!!

  • you know it well

  • Travis, what did people on the metro think when you were sitting there filming them and yourself?? Great work for your first time with a Flip. I have one but I haven't invested the time to learn to edit my vids yet... hope I get as good as you are at it already - any tips? LOL Keep it up!

  • The beauty of the Flip camera is that is is so tiny and doesn't even look like a camera. No one noticed anything.

As far as editing and making videos in general, the more you make the better they will get. Your first several are going to suck. But keep at it and you will be good eventually. Practice practice practice.

  • Glad you made it home safely, Travis. The mean streets of Koreatown are okay enough in the daytime, but as a general rule, I try not to walk around K-town too much at night. Maybe a quick trip down the block to get a burger at Carl's Jr. but that's it.

  • K-town is very different at night.

  • I know what you mean. Although I've found that the area south of Wilshire boulevard seems a bit scarier than the area north of it.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY nice camera

  • im diggin the superman thing on your tv, fun video, i liked the music, and yes the flip camera is very suprising. my camera broke recently so ive been forced to use a flip, and let me tell you, its pretty darn good. keep up the vids man

  • Wow..dude you have got some real talent, you made a boring thing into a really intense video..it really captured my attention, and to think it's just you making your way home, well done!

  • Thank you for that! Someone gave me the camera as a birthday present 30 minutes before I shot this. I decided to document the trip home. This was a bit of an experiment but it is very true to what happened and the way I was feeling going home.

  • Travis...This is exquisite. By far your best cinematic style work. I am very proud of your abilities and talent. Keep going forward. This film was so enjoyable....PERFECTION.

  • and to think I made it with a Flip camera...it is pretty cool the day and age we live in where you can make a movie with something that fits into your pocket and doesn't even resemble a camera in a traditional way. This was all completely unplanned and I just presented whatever happened on my way home and I did the whole thing by myself.

  • And to think the person in charge is just so talented and working hard so what do you expect? Man this is your best work. Way to go!!! I can't wait to see more...

  • We still need to make something together.

I just got an awesome HD camera a couple weeks ago but this Flip is interesting and I will be able to do different kinds of stuff because of the size of it and convenience. It could really change my film-making. This was just a test and experiment.

  • Great short film! I like your choice of Erik Satie's Gymnopedie. Keep up the good work!

  • Great short vid! You need to be on a reality show, or make you're own show! You have the face for sure, talk to an agent ..get out there and on Tele ..

  • he definitely has an "actor face" i would cast him

  • Mr. Slayer, Are you In Productions? What is it that you do, that makes you able to cast people. Put me on TV ..poolboyinla, has def got alot of talent, I can manage something as well. Show me where I sign ..

  • Haha, no I'm an indie filmmaker basically on this guy's level. I meant cast him in my independent films essentially based on looks (dunno how good of an actor he is I've only seen this video)

  • Be sure to check out Salo-Salo.

  • you were able to make something very normal and with a tendency to get boring it something interesting, easy to follow and with some pretty decent shots.

  • Thats exactly what I was trying to do. I know this isn't my most action-packed video but I was trying to take something ordinary and boring and make it not so boring. Also, I am really just documenting reality and the Flip camera was great. It far exceeded my expectations performance wise.

  • That's awesome. It's like a short movie =D

  • nice one

  • nice video

  • the song is from Man on Wire i think..

    that documentary speaks life

  • this is nice :)

  • whatta ride home.. it takes you hours xD..

    aand whatta room x) ahaha

  • whats the song called =]

  • huh? i don't get it dude...did something happen?

  • A friend gave me a Flip camera as a present. I decided to use it to make a documentary about the journey home.

  • whats this song i like it

  • Erik Satie is the composer and it is called Gymnopedie.
