I don't know, I think Tom Riddle was capable of love (even if he never understood or valued it), but as he became less and less human he lost that capacity.
@susannaaaa i partly agree with you. he may have felt desire and lust in his teens or his early years, but I don't think he ever had the chance to get to know real love and affection. Dumbledore may have shown him understanding, his teachers may have shown him admiration and interest, but as a child he never had the chance to feel save and protected (in this muggle- orphanage)...nor any place he could call "home". No one who had ever been loved can forget about it in the way voldy did.
@Zoisy I feel like it's possible that he did feel some connection to bella, but basically because, like you said, he was never taught to value or appreciate love, he was happy enough to lose it and put it aside as he made more and more horcruxes. Anyway, whether we agree or not, this is one of the things that I love about Harry Potter, that there's so much to think about and discuss. :D
@susannaaaa You're right! That's exactly what Harry is all about. There are a million kind of ways to interprete particular incidences and motivations. Especially Bellamort is a relationship to really think about. I love the thought of him caring for Bella more than he would care for a servant and I actually think he does, for there are several evidences during the series. (he screams when she dies, he saves her from being send to Azkaban in the second time around, calls her "Bella" etc)
@Annabella56 exactly! He DID care for her, it's obvious, who could be so blind as to ignore their strong mental connection. Bella is fanatic and she may be devouted to him but they are equals in ability and mind. Bella is an underrated character not only in her importance but in her intelligence. She is a genius, she's a high-intelligent sociopath, but nevertheless she's a very dominant figure (when she isn't with Voldy, who she loves ardently)
Awww Evanescence, Sweeney Todd, The Tudors , HP :D . All my favs ;) Of course I loved it , I'm such a Bellamort fangirl (winks ). Good job , wish I knew how to make videos as well :/

@Zoisy I so agree, you don't grab someone around the waist and flee if you don't care about them!
