  • They probably demoed these amps for the crack money..

  • can somebody help me?? i have this randall, and i have two cabinets, but the outputs in the randall are one of 4 and another of 8 ohms, can i use both outputs in the two different cabs at the same time??

  • it doesn't matter how expensive ur guitar is or amp is if u play like shit ur going to sound like shit! it matters of the person behind the guitar not the other way around!

  • this head is way better than any orange dark terror duel terror the oranges are made @the same factory in china FACT! This amp is underated because people a stupid

  • @MrRandy1971 orange are too pricey anyway

  • The amp sucks in my opinion.

  • dont like the settings/this amp at all. its all grainy

  • Misha really sucks at soloing... He's just a riff guy...

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 have you listened to periphery's album there are solo's created by misha on it

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 hear his song breeze has a sick and amazingly original solo a really good thing if you're tired of hearing harmonic minor or blues scales all the time ill say he doesnt do solos all the time but when he does one it fucking owns plus his tone its more for rythm in this video thats why it sounds like that and plus i dont think he ever does sweep picking but its good nonetheless man ive heard worst guitarists doing some unoriginal and uncalled for ¨solo¨.

  • @AnvikThe Sorry, what i meant to say was "improv" misha sucks at improv, but still that wrong of me to say.

The dude is taleneted, people are probably pissed, really there are alot of haters going on misha's videos, talking shit about how he looks etc. etc. really irrelevant crap. It just goes to show that people really DON'T care if your talented... They just care about images in the long haul.

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 yeah thats the truth people only care about looks and with so many musicians around its a common thing because he its getting the attention and probably people that has been playing all their life are jealous but its a bad thing because it only brings hate and ruins the fun about music everyone should focus all that hate in getting better at their instrument instead of bitching that way we could hear more amazing music and the music business would be better

  • @raed666n i doubt you could.

  • @tohtorigyro and i doubt u know shit cuz obviously u like those guys playin

  • @raed666n you said you can't play well, so obviously these guys have more skill than you do. and you deleted that comment to save your ass while you keep making shit comments to this video. nice try you idiot.

  • @tohtorigyro

if i can play well but have to play this whole day,

i would rather smash my guitar.

not saying the new shit isnt good. but this vid just shows too much and makes everyone feel sick.

  • @tohtorigyro well i have nomore 2 say,, a guy who appreciates such playing must be a douchbag, and me saying cant play well is called modesty fag

  • Do they really have the amp on without it being connected to a cab!? hahahaha

  • You just DON'T mic speakers right on the cone when you're recording a lot of distortion. Every one of these videos proves it.

  • dookie

  • Sound the same I mean lol.

  • You know Misha has skills when he manages to make all the amps he demos sound the sound... Like SHIT!

  • mine does not sound like this piece of shit i think is the mic or the settings are fucked up very crazy

  • this amp sound like shit!! muddy,,staticky..and just plain ole garbage!

  • no marshall in this? are you guys bloody mental?

  • @Slashhat7 thats sweet do u think u can make a review video just so i can hear them?

  • is Ty's guitar fretless?, cant tell

  • @XSVmetalband No it isn't , The frets are a little bitt darker so it's look frettless on a distance

  • dude... put some REAL guitar players...

  • try and get some different players..

  • they need to demo this amp with emg as there is a lot of people who use emgs... just saying... lol

  • I have this amp with a different Randall cab that's filled with 2 Celestion G12t-75's and 2 Vintage 30's. Both Distortion channels sound better than this video. So I think it's the cab that makes the modern overdrive so muddy in this video.

  • @ScreamynDemon it might be the mic placement as well.

  • the distortion channel sounds like a joke

  • This Vid made me Look 4 another AMP...Thought I heard it with another sounds on other youtube VID?!?!?!

  • i don't like the distortion on this one. I think the peavey one has the best distortion.

  • good lord that sounds horrible

  • soooooooo MUUUDDDDYYYY

  • These demos make this thing sound like utter SHIT. I've looked up some other demos on YouTube, and I must say that it seems to be just this demo that makes it sound so awfully muddy...

  • Randall t2 > RT100.

  • Classic Overdrive - Awesome

    Modern Overdrive - Terrible

    Clean - FUCKING GODLY!

  • to me the 3rd channel sounds like the tone knob on the guitars are down

  • is this john petrucci speaking in the beginning?

  • very muddy settings!!

  • that modern overdrive sounds dreadful

  • the ibanez tube screamer is used through the whole vid?

  • @MatKiller1197 no, only when the advertising appears..

  • @ktulhu2011 aaaa ok

  • How'd this series of videos make the RT100 sound like a bitchin' amp, while at the same time somehow make the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier sound like shit?

  • I wonder how this would sound with the new Bareknuckle aftermath 7s?

  • @rodnicolo not a ton better. Aftermaths are the shit but those dimarzios (while not my favorite combo) are pretty fucking good. sometimes a shit amp just sounds like a shit amp. cant do anything about it

  • @rodnicolo AMAZING. I just put the 6 string version in my neck-thru ibanez and its easily the best pickup I've ever played.

  • AHAHAHAHHAHA MISHA AT THE END WAS HILARIOUS

  • Its a nice Rock sound. low tuned guitar sounds pritty good - more clean then with messa or soldano amps. (Sorry for my bad english)

Now i wont to listen the KRANK review

  • RACECAR! <3

  • Definitely my fave <3

  • I like the Framus the most but I know for a fact a few of these amps like the 6534 and Randall sound way better with new tubes and biasing

  • If you can get a 3 channel tube amp that is in a competition with 12 other amps that range from 1000-4000 dollars, and only costs around 800... win

  • @TheRealHansel Until you hear that horribly muddy distortion...then you decide to save up the extra 3 or 400 bucks to get a 6534...at least that's what I'd do! :)

  • That clean is godly.

  • does anyone no if this amp is better than the line 6 valve hd 100? i play metalcore stuff so yea

  • @CkilledTQueen

    This is easily better.

  • this amp sounds way better in real life

  • what guitars do they use

  • @samsamsam130 You watched the video right?

  • Ty says more about his pickups than he plays

  • I don't know how they mic'd this amp, but I have the same one and it doesn't sound even a bit like this in real life. It sound much better. In this demo the OD1 and OD2 channels sound the same to me.

  • @FarTRhin0 it just may be the way he set it up, your settings are most likely very different

  • i like the cleans.i think the od channels could sound much better with a bit of tweaking

  • Doesn't help that every other amp had a high end Orange cab used with it and this one has the cheap Randall cab... yuck.

  • @licensedinkaos i don't know how much this randall cab costs, i own an xl series cab and it souds better than any other standard cab (except from mesa, wich I hadn't try), mine costs $850, and I'its the right price for it, 37 kg for a marshall 1960 cab, 49 for mine, almost all the difference is wood..

  • @licensedinkaos This head really is good

  • i hate the playing of misha...horrible

  • @GibsonOnTheWall

he plays in a mainstreamband.. they all play like that .. very sad

  • Evergreen Terrace are win :P

  • This sounds like shit. Far too much distortion. I can not tell one note from another. Not good at all.

  • @Biggerbyte its not that theres too much distortion. its just that the distortion is has is way too muddy

  • @deathcore1239 It's because of the mic I think. My amp doesn't sound like this at all.

  • @deathcore1239 It's because of the mic I think. My amp doesn't sound like this at all.

  • The amp sounds SO much better with the Tubescreamer.

  • Am I the only one who really liked the sound of this amp?

  • How are they allowed to be on a program called Monsters of High Gain? I could make a Blue Voodoo sound more metal or a Micro Cube......

  • @magazinedude2002 /derp. Misha's band Periphery is very metal, and these amps are all better sounding than any solid state you could come up with.

  • This one has the best clean, I think.

  • @SynesterCblack I thought so too

  • This is amp is way too sizzly and crunchy for me. My dream would have the Peavy 6534+ and the Framus Cobra mixed mixed nice pumping through some nice cabs onstage.

  • Sounds a lot like the Genz Benz El Diablo

  • im torn between a mesa triple, a marshall and this randall. FOr extreme true metal, Not FAKE metal like every kids today seems to play, stupid fucking)&$@)%)!!~~!!

  • these guys suck ass at riffing.

  • I love Misha, but Ty kills him on the cleans every time.

  • @drjubjubs852 it's not the player, it's the pickup difference, Mishas guitar doesn't have split coils and Ty's neck pickup is a JAZZ pickup so of course it's going to sound a lot better.

  • that's a good question, man......well, for starters, it all comes down to components, inlays (work/time involved and detail, of course) and choices of wood(s).....bernie normally goes maple center (thru) then mahogany wings, which is what i wanted.....he was already quoting me $3250ish for what I wanted...(27 frets, add'l low-side mop inlays, emg 707's, etc., flame top, etc., oil finish, etc.)....i prob would've topped out around $3500

  • @TallicaDave73 that's insanely expensive for a guitar, idk if i would ever pay that much tbh

  • look at his face at 4:22 you can tell he knows the amp he's playing sounds shit.

  • @metallica5252

It's the settings and the tubescreamer, far too much distortion..

  • @DrSteelgrave the tube screamer doesn't really add much distortion it's just a tone booster. the proper settings of a tube screamer in front of the overdrive on the amp is to have the gain at 1-4 on the amp and have the tubescreamer like this : Drive: 0 Tone: 8(no more than 3 o'clock) Level: max..i use that on my Peavey 3120 and it adds mids and treble but cuts the bass, which can be fixed using an EQ pedal

  • @metallica5252

Uhh... I wasn't saying that the tubescreamer adds too much distortion, I'm saying that he has it far too much overall.. to my taste.. That lead playing of Misha's sounded like Nintendo. By the way, you don't know how the TS in the video is set right?

I don't hate Tubescreamers at all either, I'd love to get one to boost my solos just a bit.

  • and, as well.......trust me on this one........rico, jr.'s are, by far, some of the best CRAFTED and playable instruments on the market!!!! i play esp's, gibsons, jacksons and an 8-string ibanez.......and quite honestly, my rico diva tops 'em all! no shit. his "attention to detail" will literally blow you away

  • @TallicaDave73 yea but how much do they cost? how much was your "original order"

  • just wanted to let everyone know that the custom jeckyll 7-string that misha is playing (currently, as well) was MY ORIGINAL ORDER guitar with bernie rico, jr. .....(i have the emails, dates and designs to prove it)....the reason for my "rejecting" it was that bernie forgot that i wanted a 27-fret neck..more importantly, notice the fret markers on the bottom side/ridge of the board, that was my idea...MOP bottom-side inlays, bernie had only done this on one other guitar...an 8-string custom.

  • Misha's guitar sounds so much better than Ty's it's not even funny.

  • sounds ugly with the tube screamer, just my opinion likwise..

  • @matiasmoriconi999 Agree. Tubescreamers sounds shit :o

  • This amp has awesome fucking gain and clean sounds. The reason people seem to think the gain sucks is most likely due to a combination of their guitar setups and/or EQ.

  • @ScreamynDemon That's basically saying these 2 professionals have no idea how to set up their EQ. I've watched every other amp review in this series and they all get their tone. This one however does not. This is a VERY EXTREMELY gainy amp. The gain is so high that it just washes out all the nuances in your playing. The clean is amazing, but the gain is just ridiculous.

  • .......next

  • Sounds so bad..... very desapointed.... This amp sucks....

  • im thinking of buying this just for the fucking cleans...wow, fuck the gain, i'll keep my 6505 for that..but the cleans on this thing were beautiful

  • i think this is what breaking benjamin uses... am i right?

  • @brandonmarks13279

I believe Kirk Hammett of Metallica uses it, but I could be wrong.

  • @Madbutcher305 nope he has his own signature amp.. the RM100KH

  • @Kboth1818

    Ahh, right.

  • @Madbutcher305 Kirk has his own signature amp. I believe his sig is based off of this, though.

  • me rope las pelota como tocan estos pelotudos

  • which is the music at 3:40 ?

  • @FakeYou347 mathcore style of playing there i find :p

  • 3:39 Nolly & Bulby riff! Snuggles!

  • ruck randall.

  • shocked you didn't include marshal jcm2000 TSL100 that thing has shit tones of gain

  • Btw the reason this amp sounds really fizzy is because that shitty cab doesn't take bass as good as, say a fryette fat bottom which will make this thing sound beast and cant be beat for the price...

  • @FirePower3006

Actually all randall amps sounds fuzzy, even if you try their high end amps such V2 & T2, they just sound the same. For some reasons Randall made their amps more bassy than it should be.

  • @bleechedbones

true. I have Randall V2 and comparing to my buddy guitarist with 6505+ it sounds more bassy, full, and usually when we record we want to cut most of that. However, Randalls gives hell od a gain and I like its distinctive nasal tone. Randall rules live. And I do not miss power tubes at all.

  • @FirePower3006

again true, I have 2x12 + 1x 15 Randall cab and that sounds completely different.

  • @tankerbrigade Also I think the T2 from randall is the fucking shit! Amazing amp with very tight bass and perfect for metal, I have a blackstar ht stage 60 which was like 900$ and it doesn't have enough gain for what I play so i'm gonna trade/sell for a t2 and vader 2x12 or 4x12 then i'll get my axe fx and I will cure my GAS...

  • Ugh. Randall's are hideous sounding amps.

  • Ty is more nu-metal whereas Misha is Djent to death

  • There's some decent amps here but they all sound horrible

  • the first guy sounds a lot more 'scooped'... different amp EQings or seymour duncans ?

  • @AndreNieri EQing. The the pickups will make a difference, but not that much, more so at this gain level. Also keep in mind that Duncan makes a huge array of vastly different pups, from hi-gain actives to PAFs to single coils.

  • is it just me, but the whole series, every amp sounds average until misha plays it?

  • @AubreyGroveTV thousand foot crutch is barely average in my books so misha sounds amazing compared to that other guy

  • @a7court im sure that ty is a decent player (never actually heard his music) but it seems that misha just has something that he doesnt.

  • Why in the name of god would you use a tube screamer in front of tis amp? Not enough mud for ya buddy? "Not at all man, I need more gain"

For crying out loud people are just dumb

  • @marviosantos you know, not all people use tube screamers for putting the drive at 10. some people (like misha) use it as a mid boost. tubescreamers are also nice for cleaning up your tone and can also reduce some of the mud. I think you'd be shocked at how little tubescreamers are actually used for adding more gain with metal players these days

  • @Scarbak123 Yeah exactly, I use my tubescreamer with the gain really low for a bit of grit and a tight bottom. -This is on my Marshall DSL100, OD1 channel.

  • the tones they used for their riffs sound very muddy, this video didn't help me at all to see if I would buy this amp or not

  • i bet it would sound atleast half decent with v30 speakers.

  • I have a Randall. They suck for tight rhythm sounds, but they're pretty good for soloing.

  • @gibsonfan3 What model have you got? I own a v2, I mainly use the ss od, never heard more tight an definite, but also "pumped", bass and treeble high and mid-scooped..In my opinion randall shoud be the alternative ss model amplifier, in a world of all tubed amps, the sounds you can obtain are different and interesting from the usual ones...

  • sounds like mud.

  • can someone who owns this PLEASE post a vid of this amp using wither a 7 string or a really detuned 6? because ive been searching for a high gain amp at a decent price andtheres NO vids of this amp with good low end AND high gain. thank you

  • thumbs up for Jack Daniels woo hoo

  • I liked this and the 6534+ the most.

  • @diabeticmonkey Even the Krank sounded better, and Krank sucks in general!

  • cool amp but sounds durty i like angl pawerball 2 better

  • @vicgarcia30 the ANGL PAWERBALL 2 is also like 2500$, which is ridiculous

  • i would like to order that, is it a risk ordering it without trying it ?

  • Today I played this head and I can clearly say that what we hear on this video is what it pretty much sounds like in person. It lacks definition and the sound is very bright compared to for example engl. It might be of interest to guys playing some metalcore genre like As I lay dying but for other kinds of music I say stear clear of this thing. The only thing that might make it sound better is some more bass/middle based cabinet to compensate for the brightness of the head

  • This isn't a bad review by any standards. This head isn't exactly EQed to how how probably any of us would have it set and our guitar set ups and the room itself. For instance, my B.C Rich with EMG's is going to have a tighter sound than the ones in the video. Same thing with the EQ, I do drop my mids out a good bit but not to zero, the bass and treble are rolled back a little bit if you can tell in the close up same as the gain stages. These heads WILL sound way tighter with your guitars, EQ,

  • @joshTHFRO the high gain channels sound muddy and a bit fizzy to me...could just be the 57's position though, idk

ITs their recording tech sounds real baddass in person NOT LIKE THIS FIZZ these are all TUBE and the RT503H 3ch head kicks it death metal / has a Exodus Bonded by Blood sound spot on but that is with gain halfway! I got the RT100H then I heard the RT503H and had to swap heads for the 50 watt. Turned up it is searing metal amps w/claims of highgain, you won't believe it (not RT50H)

  • @BionicSam Well actually their recording is quite accurate as the highgain channels on this thing are fizzville. Maybe a cabinet from a company like engl could solve this problem but with the paired cab the only thing this thing is good at are cleans

  • @BionicSam The fizzyness is due to the mic being in the middle of the speaker cone, the further the mic is to the edge of the cone the more mellow the tone becomes.

  • finally, a review that isn't some stupid blues wanker, or a wanna be metal player (THIS MEANS YOU PAUL RARIO OF GUITARWORLD!!!!). thank you. misha is a fucking beast.

  • sounds muddy

  • Joe Coffey! Same second name as me. :D

  • UNCLE BUBBLES!

  • A-ha-ha-ha! 4:03 look at this devil Misha grim!

  • Pissing myself laughing at 4:00!!!! He's like, "Uggghhh. Sounds like Meekrob."

  • @bedofrazorsqwerty It's even funnier at 4:15 LMFAO.

  • Just got this thing, im happy with it, sure there are alot of better tube amps out there but i got it real cheap!

  • Blaaahhhh. I give this amp a thumbs down. The entire higher register of both players chord voicings are muffled and undefined. I love the balance between power and clairity in a well designed tube amp, and this Randal has neither. This amp seems to have a lot of distortion, and a lot of power, but little tone. I feel that the players performances actually made it sound better than it is. The amp itself: TOTAL lack of focus and tone.

  • @kuehling83 ...I mean to say '...a lot of distortion, and a lot of volume, but little tone.'

  • what song was misha playing right at the end?

  • Hello, is it possible to connect the randall RT to gsp 1101 and then switch channels/effects with midi controller?

  • I really like the sound of this amp but the only thing that's stopping me from buying it is the fact that its made in China. and I don't really trust Chinese products.
