Jahvid is not better then mathews, that's why mathews was picked at 12 overall and jahvid at 30 overall. I think jahvid would have dropped to the 2nd round, lions are stupid for picking a concussion prone RB. Anyway I would pick mathews over spiller, mathews is a more complete back.

i think jahvid best is better than him only bc hes more athletically gifted. id have to agree with charilkon on the fact that most of his highlights werent that great. Ryan Mathews has amazing raw talent. Yes, he is a work horse; yes, he hits the hole hard; yes he has amazing hops and can jump over defenders. BUT, MOST AMAZING about Ryan is his ability to keep his balance..he always fights for a few extra yards. Right when you think he is down, he pops forward for a few more yards. From what I saw here at 1:33, that move convinced me he doesn't need a whole lot of blockers in front to break away. His vision and speed is sufficient to get to the in zone before a safety can catch up with him.

If you think you're better than Mathews, well think again. He's obviously much better than you and has a great attitude as opposed to the Chargers worst draft pick ever, Ryan Leaf. The reason the Chargers fired Marty was because of his attitude and including his relationship with GM A.J. Smith. His attitude also caused to the firing of other assistants.
