  • The H/K 9 set up is pretty decent! I like mine too and I play my mp3's through a tape adapter too!! Was thinking of sending the head unit to Saab Radio from TSN to add an aux jack!!! have other issues to deal with for now!! nice ride though bro!!

  • cassette adapters suck (sound quality is poor). Why not sync the iPod tracks to your PC and burn them to a CD, or replace the head unit with one that has an AUX input.

  • @Paspiedreamcast They do suck, a lot. I have all of my music on CD's, but this was my brother's iPod and I had a cassette adapter laying around. I mostly listen to radio and CD's though. And about an aftermarket HU; meh, that would be nice, but a minimum of $600 for a good double din nav unit (only thing I'd put in it)....I'd rather spend that headers for my Mustang. =)

  • Nice sound, bad music. I honestly did not think of Saab owners hear this horror...

  • @68yello Haha. I normally don't listen to this, I just happened to have my brother's iPod in the car and this song shows off the bass. It's not that bad though. lol I'm more of a classic rock kind of guy myself.

  • Nice lookin saab!

Hey is that Burnett wood on your consul stock?

    Mines dark brown.

I wish mine was either aluminum or black.

    anyways, nice vid!

  • @Howie262 Thanks! Yes, the wood is stock. It's a pretty rare color apparently. At least I haven't seen too many with it. My friend has the dark brown (nearly black) wood in his '04 with the black/gray dash. I love that combo, so classy looking. I have to say the black is my favorite too. Though, wasn't that only offered in 2007 on the anniversary 9-5?

  • @jrodigan5 Yeah yours is Pure-Secks. That looks like Mercedes Quality, i dont know if its real wood or synthetic buy yours deffinately looks pretty real.

I might just paint mine a different color or somthing, i like dark wood and all, but i want it to look more like a Jet cock pit lol,

    Anyways keep Saab-Flyin bro!

    saab-Brotha!

  • @Howie262 Thanks again! From my research, it is real wood, just a thin veneer. You can paint right over the wood. There was a guy from Germany on the forums that painted his black and looked awesome. Check around on some forums like saabworld, saablink, and saabcentral if you're not already a member of one. I'm "J-Rod" on all three and we can definitely help you out with any projects you want to do!

  • @Howie262 wish min was aluminum. that'd be tight. its like fake wood

  • AUDIO SYSTEM IN 9-5 IS JUST AWESOME

    9-SPEAKERS H/K

    CENTER SPEAKER

PEOPLE KEEP ASKING ME DID I GET A SUPER HUGE SUBWOOFER AND AFTER MARKET SPEAKERS.......

  • What this song name??

  • @qwertyant1305 It's "Gimme a Beat" by Girl Talk. As you probably heard, it's a mash-up of multiple songs, most predominant being "Renegade" by Styx. Good song. :)

  • maybe the heavy bass is there to distract from the hideous interior

  • @paintballgundown8 Ouch, that one hurt me deep inside. Congrats. Have a nice day.

  • @jrodigan5 oh, Im sorry but i thought you already knew :(

  • bose rock piss all over harmon/kardon

  • @93hot82 wanna know why bose can sell "high end" speakers a whole lot cheaper than the less popular companies? They design the speakers to hit the treble and bass and leave out most of the midrange. I don't know if Harmon/Kardon does that too or not. sorry to rain on your bose parade.

  • Yes I checked the wiring and it was infact loose around where the wires connect to the speakers but when I touched the wires it worked but now they sound blown. I guess I'll have to find new ones can you buy replacement Harmon kardon ones just like the stock ones?

  • @nickcourson Yeah, I checked around online, they are hard to find for just the speakers, but on ebay there are plenty of wrecked Saab 9-5's that people are selling the parts from, so you can get a pair of OEM stock speakers used from one of those. Other than that, the only thing I can think of would be to take it to the dealership. I hope that helps.

  • I have the same car but for some reason the back shelf speakers suddenly stopped working. So i have no bass what so ever. I checked the amp but I am baffeled

  • @nickcourson That sucks. Maybe it's the speakers? You can buy them for pretty cheap on ebay. I would check the wiring too. I'm not a car electrician or anything, but that's what I'd check out.

  • lol, same here, but it could use even more. lol

  • this beats bose. the whole trunk view looks like invisible subs lol

  • lol, yeah, I like this better. It sounds a lot more clear than the Bose.

  • harmon kardon can hit WAYY better spl's than bose anything. bose is for a very low volume. bose is something that you put in your office and have at the lowest volume to show off your arrogant ass about how successful you are lol. crank bose up and then its b.o.s.e. buy other sound equipment.

  • haha, this system can get pretty loud. with the Bass all the way up, it hits pretty hard, surprisingly.

  • its harmon kardon!! its better than bose for half the price!! the professional bose systems go from 1500 to like 4000 and they sound like shit!! i tried them out with the dual sub feature bullshit turned all the way up and there was no bass whatsoever. you go get a 500$ jbl eon speaker and it kicks bose out the window

  • I really don't know what this system cost (I bought the car used) but the Bose in the Suburban (which we got new) was like a $2000 option, so it's definitely less than that. My cousin used to have a sub in the trunk of his Mazda, (that he didn't pay much for) that put out some great sound! Just shows you don't have to pay a lot to get a good sound.

  • yea. the biggest problem for me and bose though is the lack of features. i have to have multiple optical inputs, hdmi in/out, and rca inputs for what i have. if it dosent have it, its not spending the money on to me.

  • One on each door (probably somewhere around 4 or 5 inches idk, I haven't measured them) 3 along the dashboard, and two on the back shelf.

  • I think on saab car stereos they have phono inputs on the back of the unit, you will have to buy keys to remove the stereo first though. Anyway its a clean sounding stereo

  • Thanks.

  • Sweet! I played Girl Talk over my Harmon/Kardon speakers in my 2000 Saab 9-3 convertible! I have to agree, even the six speaker in mine had great capabilities, but after playing a lot of Pendulum, they started to hiccup during high bass. I replaced the door speakers with some nice Alpines. I found out that our systems have built in amps, so I didn't have to upgrade.

  • What sort of amp do they have? I knew they had them. I love this system though. It really surprised me with the amout of bass it puts out.

  • very nice, and i gotta agree wit you on the clean sounding system in my aviator, plus i wouldnt buy a car with a bad sound system either because im always blastin music and i need a nice sub to pump out my tunes :)

  • I've usually got my Ipod touch in the fold out cup holder in the dash and the cassette adapter (just cuz I'm that cool lol) in and playing my "driving" play-list through it.

  • GIRL TALK!!!!

  • I guess you are a fan? lol

  • of not only that but the car, i got a 9s aero with the same speakers myself GREAT CAR

  • I love the car, I've had it six months now. And the Harmon/Kardon is great! I'm planning on posting a video of this system compared to the BOSE in my Suburban, that should a pretty good contest. lol

  • 95*

  • You young people today don't know what

    good music is.....Thuddd Thuddd boom

    boom.....Probably why yer retards....lol

  • I really don't listen to this kind of music, I'm more of a classic rock guy, this was just playing from some elses ipod and i just decided to film then. It just showed what the stock bass could do. I'm not that one aannoying guy with his bass pumping in the car behind you at a red light. lol

  • Good sound ! what song is it btw ?

  • gimme a beat by girl talk.

  • I think you could tap into the back of the radio and wire an iPod input into it.

  • You need a wired FM modulator. So much cleaner looking than a cassette adapter and will sound infinitely better. I put one in my old '01 9-5; I'll see if I can find the write-up I did on it. Nice car!

  • Thanks!
