This wasnt my choice, it was requested..and I rolled my eyes when I heard what they wanted, but as I sang and thought about the couple the lyrics became brand new. Thank you! Singing is how I reveal whats in my heart. I just thought about what this man must feel everytime he looks at his wife of 50 years. I am always amazed at the power a song holds and how one so old (like this one) can still transport you emotionally when used in this context. Now that I am a married woman its not hard at all to get lost in these lyrics.
