they are so useful the players totally know how to pay attention and stand on them its not like a healer was standing in the wrong place even with the markers down and got killed or anything very useful even for bad players
i started playing about 2 weeks b4 wrath come out so i hit 70 4 days b4 wrath came out.....an i do agree that wrath was easy mode first time in naxx was abot 5 or 6 weeks after like 70% of people hit 80 an we downed the whole thing with only a coulpe wipes on kt cuz people like hiting every thing in phase one.. but i cant whait for cata should be 1000x more chalenging then wrath an i do agree u want easy stuff go play f-ing my little pony or runescape
Adding on to previous post, IMHO blizzards whole reason for this xpac is to bring back the fun it was back in vanilla days to get down bosses that were extremely complicated. If they did this it will most likely bring back a bit of the original WoW players that have been keeping up with the game. With not only bosses being much more complicated, but trash now too, they are making the whole place fun now, not just blow through trash until the boss. It will keep people interested for much longer
I, personally, am excited about this expansion, no more easy mode raids, and something that actually requires concentration, and communication. Wrath spoiled everybody with easily obtainable (for the most part) epics, and this made the 90% of people that all they care about is awesome looking gear nuts, whereas the other 10% ( if even that) were rather dissapointed(sp?) with the difficulty level.

The reason they make these encounters so much hard is that they plan to make this expansion last more then 1 year. Relax, dear players. You wont be seing new content any soon after they launch expansion. They will keep players on standby, making them raid these raids show by Yogcasts for a VERY LONG TIME. They made them that hard to be sure nobody downs anything in first week after release but after a long time. You will see soon people whining for new content cause they got bored.

@DieKao There is a thing here - players WERE better back in the BC. When you were doing heroics, or doing other kind of PuGs (Kara for example) you felt that everyone knows what they're doing. Now, it's a mental degradation. GOGOGO team took over and I'm sure you can feel it while playing as well.
Besides, the discussion here is actually a bit different matter: it's about difference in design concept, more then actual raid difficulty IMHO. Even if some participants are not fully aware of that.
@DieKao Nope you cant compare a heoric to a normal boss. So lets go with 25man since thats what SWP was. A shit ton of people have 25mean KS. You have to compare then in normal because the end boss should not be able to be downed that easily. Yes I understand that normal 25man LK should be downed at a higher % then kil jeeden was just cause there was no heoric so the fight was geared a lil harder then normal mode LK. But not at the rate that LK is being downed, pugs down LK all the time.

@matt9682 Hum you can argue to say that LK was the last boss of TLK since him and hallion drop the same gear lvl, and since LK is the last boss of the last full raid, Hallion is just being a loner in his own lil place. And for the "main focus" thing. Thats not very relevant since they released a full new raid with a bigger badder harder boss after Illidan so hes not the last boss in TBC. Therefore you cant really compare LK-Illidan.

@someonefromthisworld I have killed LK 25, not HC but still. I didn't spend until the 4 in the morning and only slept 2 hours, knowing that I had to go to work the next morning. And do you know why? Because I can actually have this as an hobby, without making it time consuming like your telling it is for you. I raided 4 hours a day, 4 days a week. Compared to anything ells you could spend your evening time with, then I would say I spend mine wisely. Got foreign friends and enjoyed my hobby.

When they see they keep wiping at a certain point (used to be a certain boss, now will be certain point including trash ofcourse) they will give up and want to do something else. And, besides that, staying my whole gaming time in a raid, trying (yes trying ) to down something it's not satifying for me in anyway (and i'm sure its not for others either).

I am liking the raid location markers that they are putting in. Maybe itll help make people understand where to actually stand instead of like hey you stay over there next to the half circle in the room or something like that.
How do you find the player DPS has scaled in the Cata beta? Is it the same as WotLK where 2 buttons can get you 8milliongazillion DPS? Or is it quite balanced now?
About "easy epics": it's kinda disappointing IMO, that you can get epics from regular crafting and rep vendors. For the moment I thought epic loot will be raid-exclusive, but i guess it's still better, then epic from every heroic.
@MwazZi Well, I think getting vanity items and heroic level gear (or even heroic+ lvl gear, but blue) would be good enough - still rewarding and not diminishing value of actual, raid gained epic. But, as I said, I can live with it, as it is :)
Not sure if thats meant as sarcasm but its reaally not, i can hit that with my bear tank on the live servers, mages and such can hit for about 100k with some luck and on my hunter I used to be fairly close to having 50k killshots (BQ not included)
i know all pro players do crazy damage but the trash in this does lik minimum 25k and marrowger does lik 3-4k and big attacks are 28k but loook at that trash xD
@DarkBlader96 all mobs in new expansion zones will do a lot more damage then mobs from previous expansion, because they need to underline the difference so hard in the eyes of players(the difference of damage, health, mana, item level) to make the players that havent bought yet the expansion feel frustrated and make them go search for money and buy the expansion urgently. Pure market perspectives, and if you ask me dirty playing. But hey that's my opinion...

@gggr8 Although it's true that Vanilla was pretty much one of the most excruciating experiences ever (I stopped playing at least twice trying to get to 60), it created hardened players. You had to know what you were doing. Wrath's awful reputation came not so much from the content as it did the player base that arose because it spoon fed everyone. Grinding easy heroics led to grinding naxx and toc, and next thing you know experienced guilds are wiping cause they let a scrub in who had top tier.
About trash and harder game overall...YAY! Finally we can raid and feel like we actually get to challenge ourselves while playing instead of having every instance on farm for easy purples after 1 month...

People doesn't 'get bored' of raids. They get frustrated.
That's how it's supposed to feel.
If you feel frustrated because you can't down a certain boss, when you down him, after your 300 attempts, you will feel so good.
Trust me, the feeling is so rewarding

@DieKao Nope you cant compare a heoric to a normal boss. So lets go with 25man since thats what SWP was. A shit ton of people have 25mean KS. You have to compare then in normal because the end boss should not be able to be downed that easily. Yes I understand that normal 25man LK should be downed at a higher % then kil jeeden was just cause there was no heoric so the fight was geared a lil harder then normal mode LK. But not at the rate that LK is being downed, pugs down LK all the time.

@matt9682 Hum you can argue to say that LK was the last boss of TLK since him and hallion drop the same gear lvl, and since LK is the last boss of the last full raid, Hallion is just being a loner in his own lil place. And for the "main focus" thing. Thats not very relevant since they released a full new raid with a bigger badder harder boss after Illidan so hes not the last boss in TBC. Therefore you cant really compare LK-Illidan.

@someonefromthisworld I have killed LK 25, not HC but still. I didn't spend until the 4 in the morning and only slept 2 hours, knowing that I had to go to work the next morning. And do you know why? Because I can actually have this as an hobby, without making it time consuming like your telling it is for you. I raided 4 hours a day, 4 days a week. Compared to anything ells you could spend your evening time with, then I would say I spend mine wisely. Got foreign friends and enjoyed my hobby.

When they see they keep wiping at a certain point (used to be a certain boss, now will be certain point including trash ofcourse) they will give up and want to do something else. And, besides that, staying my whole gaming time in a raid, trying (yes trying ) to down something it's not satifying for me in anyway (and i'm sure its not for others either).

About "easy epics": it's kinda disappointing IMO, that you can get epics from regular crafting and rep vendors. For the moment I thought epic loot will be raid-exclusive, but i guess it's still better, then epic from every heroic.

@DarkBlader96 all mobs in new expansion zones will do a lot more damage then mobs from previous expansion, because they need to underline the difference so hard in the eyes of players(the difference of damage, health, mana, item level) to make the players that havent bought yet the expansion feel frustrated and make them go search for money and buy the expansion urgently. Pure market perspectives, and if you ask me dirty playing. But hey that's my opinion...

@gggr8 Although it's true that Vanilla was pretty much one of the most excruciating experiences ever (I stopped playing at least twice trying to get to 60), it created hardened players. You had to know what you were doing. Wrath's awful reputation came not so much from the content as it did the player base that arose because it spoon fed everyone. Grinding easy heroics led to grinding naxx and toc, and next thing you know experienced guilds are wiping cause they let a scrub in who had top tier.

@Mickeesee You can't blame him. Blizzard did a big and idiotic mistake. First they have fairly difficult raiding, then they make it easy mode in wrath. And now they want to take it all away from us and make it harder again, you don't wave candy around to snatch it away. They should've just made up their mind from the get go instead of being money grabbing whores who made the game easier for new subs. Then again it's just a money driven company, can't expect too much.
