  • The musician are ;Steve Lukather,Jeff Porcaro,David Hungate of TOTO The best forever and ever.......

  • OMG...This is my ALL TIME Favorite dance song and I have been looking for it Forever !!! I have been trying to find this on ITUNES ...WHERE can I find this to download ??!! I am sweating now from dancing to it about 10 times ... LOL ..xoxo

  • I remember the video to this song. Can't find it anywhere.

  • Has anyone ever noticed the fact of how good dance, discofunk & soul piercing tunes are proved & vindicated as being timeless classics; not by anyone's academic skills to argue their case but by the fact that so many of these wonderful pieces of music are very rarely disliked. Here's a formula to try, select a classic tune similar to this one, say Vickie Sue Robinson, "turn the beat around" & look at the difference between likes/dislikes; comapre with modern music and the ratio is much higher!

  • P'town music!!!

    Super song!

  • I want to go back to the 70s! They were a blast!! The music alone was Amazing! Disco, top 40 and rock There will never be anything better than that era in music. I want to take my Classic AMC Gremlin out for a spin now!

  • I found this song finally again on Cirius radio on the 70s station with Danny Terrio hosting Disco friday or Saturday night last week. THanks for posting. Great disco song and memories.

  • Brilliant!

  • West Hollywood....Circus Disco !!

  • hangin at manhattan beach in brooklyn 1979 great place

  • Werk Niecy!!!!!!!

  • Ms. Williams could flat-out sing with Chaka Khan, France Joli, Linda Clifford, Jackie Moore, or ANY of the other great female disco singers of the late seventies; still a killer track 32+years later.

  • I never knew she sung this song. Brings back great memories.

  • According to Deniece, she did a disco song just to see if she could pull it off.

  • I am so glad I found this song. I couldn't remember the title...all I could remember was the "sitting here I've been drinking gin, thought I'd have me some fun" part of the song. I so loved this song. The summer I was sixteen, 1979. Ahhhh, memories. :)

  • What memories..danced all over ATL & CHLT....no shirt..showing off this hairy chest!! The "COLT" days! That's right..guys used to be proud of those hairy pecs!

  • @2009Denisem :-)

  • Where are my platform shoes.. I Miss those days so BAD

  • You and the rest of the world miss the days of disco..I was born at the start of disco 1973

  • Oil Can Harry's in Studio City , California spins this tune on Disco Saturday Nights

  • Reminds me of the gay club in San Bernardino, California around 1980. Good times.

  • jdh1974, thanks for this super upload....1979 the peak of disco dance and holding strong...

  • 1979! What a cool year to end the decade, yet innocent, different from the 80's that followed! Picture the straight leg jeans by Calvin Klein or Fiorucci, the skinny brown belt that went around the waist twice, striped shirt with little button-down collar by Fiorucci...but one guy I knew had the ultlimate accessory: 1979 Datsun 280Z (and he was a lot of fun, not a snob about it). All energized by music like this, all the time, everywhere.

  • a slammin disco classic that still has the power to make you wanna move!...i use to hear this played on WBLS and WKTU radio in NY as a very young kid and at the roller disco rinks the Metropolis and the Roxy where i skated around with my parents....while i was just 7 years old at the time i feel very fortunate that i was around to hear and remember music like this from such a pivotal era...thank you so much for the post!! :-)

  • I was born in 1973 at the start of disco...I miss this track....and I was in elementary school when this track came out.

  • Makes you feel like runnng back an interception back 99 yards and back flipping over the end zone

  • What a hidden gem ! It just makes you get up & dance for real. The chorus is completely infectious.

  • This is such a happy tune. On top with the best of 'em. Classy, funky and soulful. Brilliant in it's delivery and p[roduction. THIS RECORD CANNOT BE BEATEN U HEAR (lol) xx

  • This track was really ahead of it's time. 1979 saw tons of dance records released but few were as clever and as infectious as this one. It #1 on Billboard's Dance/Disco chart and cemented Deniece's place as an artist to really watch for in the upcoming 1980's. It still sounds as fresh as when it was released 30 YEARS ago ! Wow. This is an example of how dance music and a great record are supposed to sound. Soulful, bright and joyful ! Snap your fingers baby ! I love me some Niecy !

  • A person can play this today and people will STILL GET UP and boogie on down!!

  • find the club that's playin it and let's all go (:

  • puffcandy1 . . . it's a deal!!

  • @DISCOVEGASGUY "INfectious" that's the word ! =D

  • @DISCOVEGASGUY i totally agree!!!!!

  • I remembered when this came out , brought this loved hearing Maurice White on this .

  • i was just born at this time lol.

  • i remember this one
