Any good driver knows that if the water is over your axles the vehicle becomes unweighted and starts to float and as that water was over the wheels I'd imagine he was well OFF the ground rather that stuck. When matey got in the back, the downforce from him landing made the rear wheels touch the ground again. (Momentarily) Got nothing to do with the truck.
