Irish people don't hate the US, a majority of Irish employers are US companies, 30-40 million Americans trace themselves to Irish roots. This prize was awarded for nothing, maybe because Obama was humiliated by not getting the Olympics, it comes when Obama is now starting to be seen by the American populace as a figure of fun and jest, this is an award for nothing. This has nothing to do with the Olympics. The Americans aren't taking to the streets because they didn't get the 2016 Olympics. Most don't care. The only difference now is that they won't be watching the Olympics from Rio De Janeiro, instead of not watching them from Chicago.
