You're going by the magazines right? People were faster than that off the showroom floor. back in the late 80s, my friend's T was hitting 13.7s. I could only get 13.8s in my GN. A stock cam Gn/T back then were going in the 10s in the early 90s. After porting the turbo and tweaking, I managed high 11s on M&Hs. I started to get into the engine after that. My other friend's turbo ta went 10.8 with heads/intake and turbo. This was back in 91. I went the stage II route afterwards

the GN stock 3.8 and stage motors TO THIS DAY are still known for being bullet proof. Mines running 12.70s on a stock turbo and 133k original miles, never been rebuilt or had so much as a head gasket replaced. I always wanted one of these. You can get them into the 11's so damn easy. The torque numbers are just insane. The GNX had 300'ish HP (even though it was rated at 276) but the torque was an astounding 380ft/lbs! 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, BONE STOCK! In 1987! Anyone who says that isn't impressive is just insane. This thing is 20+ years old and it STILL hangs with some of the most respected Exotic Supercars out there when it comes to acceleration. And with mods, it's leaving most of them behind.
