@ThomasAndSadler oh and to synchro summon, u need a tuner monster or 1 or more non tuner monsters. JUst tribute the tuner and non tuner, and special summon the synchro monster, but the combined stars of the tuner and non tuner must equal to the synchro monster u are summoning. Example Junk synchron which is a tuner with 3 stars tuned with speed warrior who is an non tuner with 2 stars . tribute them to synchro summon Junk Warrior who is a synchro monster with 5 stars. Hope this helps :)

@ThomasAndSadler 5D's means 5 dragons. In this series there are 5 signers who have a birthmark which is part of the crimson dragon, a powerful dragon who once saved the wolrd from destruction. The signers have their signer dragons which were apart of the crimson dragon. The dragons are Stardust dragon, red Dragon Archfiend, Black Rose dragon, Ancient Fairy Dragon, and Blackwing Dragon. All the dragons are synchro monsters.

Hello, I used to play Yugioh about 5 to 7 years ago before the Yugioh GX and 5D shows came out. I just started to get interested in Yugioh for some reason. I am assuming that the early Yugioh cards and the ones from say GX and 5D can be used together? Sorry if I sound like such a n00b.
