  • What a pity for such a piece of history....shameful.

  • @atcnavy34

The tank has already been removed from there and restored.

  • This batch of tanks has quite some history. Spain ordered 100 to replace the old T-26s left over from the civil war, but only 20 were delivered. Hitler's hoped that this would help bribe Spain to join WW2 on Germany's side, but Franco decided to stay neutral. (After meeting with Franco, Hitler supposedly said he'd rather have his teeth pulled than go through that again.) Some of the Panzer IVs were later sold to Syria, and along with some acquired from France, fought in the 1967 and 1973 wars.

  • Very interesting video, but great to know that it's in better shape now than it was at the time of filming

  • Just an update of this video. It seems the tank was removed from the base and restored some years ago. I don´t know where it is now, but it is refreshing to know it is in working order again and they did not allow it to fall apart

  • Looks like a IV model H, middle production.

  • thanks for uploading this

  • superb! There are very few PzIV videos available!
