That's sexy right there. I'm only looking at these because of those starwars duel light saber commercials making me jellie cause I don't know how to spin.
I've been trying to look for a video to help me with it all day and you said it would take hours of practice to get good at it and it took me a few minutes well thanks
I managed to do this move within 3-4 attempts, but after but after another 30 I've lost it... I kept hitting the back of my head (and ended up with a really sore thumb).
it can still be done with a broom stick, most staff should be up to your chin or slightly taller than you, big and heavy bo staffs are the best because you will become strong and fast with it, so when you pick up a tiny lighjt weight bo staff, you will be super fast like goku
bragonball z is based on kung fu, when they powerup ect... that is basically like chi or energy, or in karate they call it, kiai or spirit...just because we dont see flames and electricty and stuff doesnt mean the power isnt there...i know what its like to be pushed and i can go into a state of mind where i fear nothing and become stronger...in dbz this is called super saiyan...in real life this is called "nothing to loose"
I actually changed my staff to a 20 pound lifting bar. The wooden staff was to short for any strikes I wanted to do. Plus every time I did around the neck the wooden staff would fly off.
I wouldnt ever try this move with the bar though. I do around the necks with it but thats it.
I havent yet to find a bamboo staff anywhere. The bar I'm using seems to work great for when I do go to use a lighter staff I'll be very good with my speed.
I do lift weights so it isnt that hard after while but I cant move it around like you would with a regular staff.
If you swing around a regular bo staff after training with a heavy staff you be like Flash with a staff. Really fast.
The only thing that sucks about having a heavy staff is that you have less control of it at high speeds and if it goes out of your hands, get outa there.
The ones online seem a bit expensive especially since I dont have a job right now. Like 30 bucks for a staff.
whilst this for sure looks very impressive in a show, that doesn't help you in any kind of fight. martial arts is more than just a fight, yes, but these movements are a very different system. i'd just like to state that...
however, it looks nice in a show and in the end it might train you to get more control over your weapon aswell :)
After a one handed baseball swing, what do you go into?

how long is a Staff should be...because i dont think this move will work with a broom stick..
kitkitkitkittang 2 years ago
the stick should be as tall as your chin
tobalcainalhambra 2 years ago
so it doesnt matter how tall you are at longest its reachs to your chin rtie.. because im around 166cm tall..:)
so i guessing i should get a stick around 140cm long.:)

Builds beasty arms ;)
Especially the for arms.
Kadzait1 2 years ago
sick, hey how long does a bo staff have to be? is six feet the generally accepted length or does it have to be proportional to the user's body?
Murphator 2 years ago
Yeah, 6 feet is hows its supposed to be but mines like 5 feet.
I had a 4 foot one and it was horrible. I felt like yoda with his cane.

lol thanks
