i was playing at school once, i was against all boys.i took over all of africa and asia. then one of the boys took MY africa. i was like "thats it!!" long story short i took america ,europe, africa and asia.
@MultiJello123 ha ha. I know what you mean. Well why not step back and look at it as a shared experience? As far as I'm concerned you can't force a win, it depends on who works with who more than anything, so with that pressure off I can (try to) enjoy the pantomime and maybe, just maybe sneak a win at the end.
@Kasuh3 The good news is Risk sets of any era can be bought on Ebay - pretty cheap too. I'm a 60s board fan and you can get them quite cheap here in the UK.
i just lost to my cousin in risk because he controlled africa parts of asia and all of austrailia where as me and my other 2 cousins lost i only had europe and the rest was divided what can you do in a situation like that where someone controls all of africa and austrailia
@XBOXplayer434 That is a strong position as they have 3+2 reinforcements from continents per turn. You need to match that (Europe) or take a piece of Africa do dney them the 3 reinforcements. Gaining south America would reduce the deficit (you would gain 2). North America and Asia are too tricky to win early on. You can fight back 3 reinforcements down, but you must concentrate your efforts on any weak spot in Africa. Good luck.
@HistoryGamerDotCom thanks for the help afterwards we played again and i trapped him in austrailia because he thought it was the best continent and once i gained most of asia and africa he was trapped in austrailia with no were to go his only choose to defend and he lost
@XBOXplayer434 Well done. This is also a classic theme. If a player goes for Australia then he must take Siam and pref China or another place connected to Siam - otherwise that player can get trapped.
I've never seen a study of Risk strategy and yet it's a favorite game of mine. I look forward to watching these videos in order and enjoying some more lovely elevator music. ;)
@NaturalTwentyFilms ha ha - I'd forgotten I did that. Let me know what you think of the series. Or indeed anything else you'd like to see in another series.
i'm usely playing Risk with 2 or 3 others. And even though the cards are shuffled and randomly dealt i seem to always get most of South America or Africa for some reason @ the start:)
@theoredobaron my pleasure. Also if you have the time check out my diplomacy videos. Ok its a different game but a lot of the way you need to handle people is the same. The mini series called something like "diplomacy. why you should never give up" should appeal to a risk player. good luck!

Winning is nothing in this game. The only real way too win is to be the only person in the game to not get super pissed

How to win risk:
1: Get the game going
2: Get your opponents in one area that is connected
3: NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE!!!!
