  • does it stain your clothes?

  • a crystal deodorant is probebly more economical, and healthier.

  • @starfaery I have had very inconsistent results with a crystal. Both the crystal and this recipe are based on salts, yet I have consistent results with this recipe. I am not the only person that has inconsistent results with the crystal, either.

  • @lisasimpson It should never be too wet just steam moist and put on dry skin or vice versa. But now apparantly they saay it contains alun. which isn't healthy. I'm sure there are genuine pure ones out there though. Otherwise you can use applecidervinnegar, which i haven't tried yet myself.

  • I tried this and love it!! Thanks so much!

    Vicki

  • @dizzyk54 Awesomesauce!!!

  • this looks and sounds real good i might have to try this in my spare time thanks for the video

  • Is there any storage issues with this deoderant? Can it be stored in the bathroom?

  • Thanks for this video Becca. About 4 months ago I started making my own shampoo and conditioner after reading about how simple it is to make and how much better it is for your hair. I will give this recipe a try, as I continue to strive to get chemicals out of the house.

  • Do you sell on ETSY.com by chance? thought I saw you on there.

  • @jaysonw74 No I don't but I should, I am sewing a bit more often these days. I need to seriously look into it, though. Do you have an etsy page?

  • @lisasimpson Dont have a page yet but I buy tons of stuff on there. I really think you should give it a go.

  • ok I will try this, especially since I have given up corn and grains in my diet, and was looking for ways to use that cornstarch ( I refuse to "starch" shirts, in fact I refuse to iron anything more often than once a decade). I used to make my toothpaste out of a white clay base, and it worked pretty well so let's see if this "natural" deo works. I also have a friend who is an aromatherapist, so I'll ask her how to get scent in that lasts, and get back to you on my tests:P

  • @shebitch omg I cannot believe you are here! I love you and miss you. Okay now the cheese is over. Seriously this works sooo well and if you can find out how to make it smell yum, that would be great. I was thinking of maybe scenting the coconut oil and letting it marinate for a bit before mixing it with any powders. It's not a bad thing to have pits that lightly smell of coconut oil though. :)

For real I am happy to see you!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lisasimpson oy happy to watch you :P Btw, hair is looking great!

  • Sooo whaddaya make with that sewing machine behind you appearing in your videos like a leitmotif?

  • @duckspaddling Stuff! Maybe I will make a video showing some of the latest creations. :)

  • You are so amazing! You've told me several times how you make this deodorant, but this time I may actually have a chance at success with you demonstrating how. BTW, I love the footstool=table action you've got going on there! Lol!

  • @zoldanification You are the one who is amazing!! I love you so much!!

  • @lisasimpson XOXO^millionth and right back at ya, sister!!! Muah!

  • Deodorants are far better than than antipersperants.

Kidney Dialyasis patients can have ALL of the ingredients in your recipie.

Antipersperants contain stuff that is bad for them. Baking soda is also a good for brushing your teeth; quenching grease fires, heartburn, and a ton of other uses.

  • @rollsroyce59 That's actually really good to know! I use a tooth powder to brush with and am looking into recipes for making my own from baking soda. My tooth powder is basically baking soda, mint, and silica. It works really good and I'm finally used to the salty taste!

  • @Charmai01 I love this deodorant. I highly recommend it! And yes I have been slacking on the video making but I'm trying to be better. :) Hope you are doing awesome!!

  • There are also stones or crystals that you can use.

My grandma use to make soap.

  • @wstoner I used the stone with some success for a few months but it stopped working for me. I put it aside and tried it months later and again, it worked for a bit and then quit. I don't understand it! I still have my stone but I doubt I will try it again....

  • Too cool-might hafta try this out... :-D

  • @thesoothingsurf It's so easy to make a small batch and give it a shot. At the least you have some baking supplies for the kitchen! :)

  • Awesomeness!

  • @TEDSmithPhotography Haha you are awesomeness! :)

  • No apologies for 12 minute videos, particularly edutaining ones like this. If I get around to trying this in my own efforts to cut aluminum whateveroxide from my pits, it will be a great test of its endurance.

  • @oneofthefew82 Well save your empties so if you ever get the whim, you will have the supplies you need! And thanks for letting me ramble. I swear I will get used to making videos again and I will be more concise and organized. :)

  • cool, I want to try this now (I've started making a sea salt oil thingy)?

"metal deely... you use to... dig... food..."

  • @keenly Are you picking on me? :P

What is your sea salt and oil thing? Is it a face scrub or something?

  • @lisasimpson

"metal deely... you use to... dig... food..." - is a Simpson quote, but yes i'm making fun of you.

    'salt scrub' for ex-foliating.

  • this was great. I'm gonna try this!

  • @MeanBlackDude MBD! I love you. And I love my deodorant. I would not lie! It lasts me all day long.

  • Awesome video. Realized how beautiful you are.

  • @chckycrk Ha! ME? Thanks but really it's just me.

  • just checked my dispenser. no aluminum in mine :)

  • @kingpolaris Yea it's the antiperspirant element. Not all deodorants have an antiperspirant, so good on you for helping save the environment! :)

  • When i was a kid i tried to make George's Marvellous Medicine, and i learned that i never ever should try and make something again, it is temping tho >:) *grabs a big pot*

  • @Gonzalves Haha! Well this is three ingredients, 4 if you add any essential oils. It's one more ingredient than cereal....

  • no smellovision here

  • @kingpolaris Nah smell-o-vision was working fine, cause my pits don't stink! lol

  • i haven't seen you in AGES but I logged into my old YOUTUBE and rediscovered you. OH how you've been missed.

PS I love your sewing machine. do you sew, or is it just decore?

  • @3amGraham Hooray, you should log into your old account more often!! Haha no I just started making videos again, really. You didn't miss much.

I love my sewing machine, too! She's a beast and we have made many things together. I will have to make a video showing the things I've been making lately.
