Serena loved Dan VERY VERY MUCH in Season One. When they broke up for the first time, Serena was sad for a WHOLE summer holiday, when Dan kept on dating different girls almost every day. After they broke up for second time, Dan immediately showed his interest towards Amanda. All these makes Serena not believe in love anymore.

For once in the series, Blair started a relationship with a man for authentic attraction, not for fame, or money, or power. In my opinion,that is worth choosing Dan over Chuck's billions of dollars any day. And Derena, can go the way of the Dodo.

@erstadfan17 Well I used to have the same opinion. After what Chuck did to Blair I would not feel a thing if the writers decided to take him off the show. He almost made Blair sleep with his uncle so he could keep his empire, and you think they belong together ??? And that is not the only thing he has done. He also slept with Jenny, and in season 1 he left her at the airport. Blair deserves better. I hope Blair ends up with Dan. That would be really refreshing, and it is time for something new.
@Patand7 Now, this seems to be the argument for every DB fan: Chuck's a villain who deserves to pay for his mistakes. Now, I'm not saying that what he did wasn't wrong because it was, but you have to look at where Chuck is coming from. Obviously Dan wouldn't have done that but then again Dan didn't grow up without feeling loved. Dan grew up with a father and a mother who love him.
@Patand7 I'm not saying that not having a family justifies what Chuck has done but Blair knows Chuck's flaws and she accepts them. Blair, in fact, knows that her relationship with Chuck is painful but there's a reason she keeps going back to him. Rather than bash Dan like many of you DBers do with Chuck, I would say that yeah Dan may seem like the decent guy but he and Blair don't click romantically. As friends I'd say yeah, but anything more between them would be boring.
Also, I strongly believe that in time, Dan would not be able to handle all the manipulation and games that is a part of Blair. In fact, he's proven to not like Blair's banishing of Jenny. So yeah, anyway, I support CB no matter what and those of you who have jumped ship be prepared to watch your ship sink. :)

Just watched the promos for the last 5 episodes.. Blair gets engaged though it's either the Prince or Chuck.. I used to be a huge Chuck/Blair supporter - but, there is only so much a fan can take. Here's to hoping that the "kiss that changed her" is about putting an end to her feelings for Chuck & not the other way around. Would make more sense for what Serena ends up saying to her in regards to Dan. "Yeah, a real connection until a prince comes along". I'm holding out for season 5.

@erstadfan17 Well I used to have the same opinion. After what Chuck did to Blair I would not feel a thing if the writers decided to take him off the show. He almost made Blair sleep with his uncle so he could keep his empire, and you think they belong together ??? And that is not the only thing he has done. He also slept with Jenny, and in season 1 he left her at the airport. Blair deserves better. I hope Blair ends up with Dan. That would be really refreshing, and it is time for something new.

@Patand7 Now, this seems to be the argument for every DB fan: Chuck's a villain who deserves to pay for his mistakes. Now, I'm not saying that what he did wasn't wrong because it was, but you have to look at where Chuck is coming from. Obviously Dan wouldn't have done that but then again Dan didn't grow up without feeling loved. Dan grew up with a father and a mother who love him.

@Patand7 I'm not saying that not having a family justifies what Chuck has done but Blair knows Chuck's flaws and she accepts them. Blair, in fact, knows that her relationship with Chuck is painful but there's a reason she keeps going back to him. Rather than bash Dan like many of you DBers do with Chuck, I would say that yeah Dan may seem like the decent guy but he and Blair don't click romantically. As friends I'd say yeah, but anything more between them would be boring.

Also, I strongly believe that in time, Dan would not be able to handle all the manipulation and games that is a part of Blair. In fact, he's proven to not like Blair's banishing of Jenny. Just watched the promos for the last 5 episodes.. Blair gets engaged though it's either the Prince or Chuck.. I used to be a huge Chuck/Blair supporter - but, there is only so much a fan can take. Here's to hoping that the "kiss that changed her" is about putting an end to her feelings for Chuck & not the other way around. Would make more sense for what Serena ends up saying to her in regards to Dan. "Yeah, a real connection until a prince comes along". I'm holding out for season 5.

Why would Dair be any healthier than Chair?
Dan has a history of being incredibly judgemental &unforgiving of the people he claims to love (Serena S1). He has a history of idealising someone & then resenting them for being different from his version of them (Serena S1-4).He has a history of two-timing women (cheating on S with G in S1,cheating on Vanessa with Serena in S3). & now he is getting close to the BFF of Serena, who only a few months ago was the love of his life.

DAIR ALL THE WAY! Serena is annoying, she sleeps with every guy after a few dates and always has to be with the hot guy of the moment. Also, she uses Dan as a frickin' back-up. So does Chuck. And after he pumped Blair out for a hotel, slept w/ Jenny and didn't even stand up in front of Blair for what he did, he's dead for me. Blair and Dan are refreshing, sweet and something different. Without them, this season would've been a disaster.
The writers better not mess them up,or i'll quit the show.
