A bullet is fired from a chamber the explosion in the chamber causes the propulsion, hence the bullet is "FIRED FROM THE GUN" and the gun recoils (equal and opposite forces)

I am thinking that physics is not your strong point. A rocket motor does not need an atmosphere to push against. That is not how this works. The reason that the craft moves forward is that the fuel is burned in a chamber. There is great pressure on the front of the chamber, and less on the rear. Thus the rocket is pushed by the the internal pressure, and NOT by thrust pushing against anything. Absurd and ridiculous.
The force comes from expanding gas against the rocket bell gas expanding and pushing on the bell. Gas against the nozzle not the atmosphere. The reason Apollo 13 couldn't stop and come home was fuel the whole all of the Apollo missions were based on orbiting the moon. 1: There is no atmosphere is space, correct. Which means, that there is no resistance. i.e, if you start the rockets, the force will be unreduced in the other direction. If you push away from a wall in zero gravity, you will just continue going until you run into an object stopping you. This is how the engines were used.
2: There is an atmosphere on the moon.
3: The engines were probably not turned on until AFTER the rocket was aimed back, facing earth, simply to change the course back to earth.
They never had to stop the rocket. They used the craft's momentum and the moons gravitational pull to go around the moon and head back to Earth.
It's called a "translunar injection." Not sure where you get all the Pagan stuff from, but Apollo 13's translunar injection orbit is very common knowledge. Look it up. I've never heard such unmitigated nonsense. Apollo 13 used its own momentum to slingshot round the moon and head back to earth. They used a free-return trajectory (look it up Gorilla 199 - you might learn something). There was no need for retro thrust - they just set their course and let lunar gravity do the rest. In fact, the other Apollo missions had to use retro thrust to slow down enough for them to be fully captured by the moon's gravity and get into lunar orbit.

A spacecraft cannot "stop" in orbit-it has to keep a minimum orbital speed. This does not mean that a craft cannot change its pitch, roll, or yaw in orbit...one uses attitude control thrusters for this purpose. Precisely because there is no air in space, one can easily change the attitude of a craft using pitch/roll.
As for the inability of thrusters to propel in a vacuum...this is false. See, for instance, Paul Hewitt's Conceptual Physics for a brief intro to thrust.

All the kinetic energy that they had built up would have had to have been negated. Near impossible. This is nonsense. Reaction engines do not need any atmosphere to work, they do not push against anything. They work the same way as a gun that pushes back when you fire it.
They did not fire the big engine to turn around because they were afraid it would explode and the small landing module engine was not powerful enough to do that. It had nothing to do with the lack of atmosphere in that place.

I am thinking that physics is not your strong point. A rocket motor does not need an atmosphere to push against. That is not how this works. The reason that the craft moves forward is that the fuel is burned in a chamber. There is great pressure on the front of the chamber, and less on the rear. Thus the rocket is pushed by the the internal pressure, and NOT by thrust pushing against anything. Absurd and ridiculous.

The force comes from expanding gas against the rocket bell gas expanding and pushing on the bell. Gas against the nozzle not the atmosphere. The reason Apollo 13 couldn't stop and come home was fuel the whole all of the Apollo missions were based on orbiting the moon. And turning something in space would take ounces of force not millions of pounds like it took to lift the Saturn 5 rockets. Why do you insist on insulting men who did something amazing? 1: There is no atmosphere is space, correct. Which means, that there is no resistance. i.e, if you start the rockets, the force will be unreduced in the other direction. If you push away from a wall in zero gravity, you will just continue going until you run into an object stopping you. This is how the engines were used.
2: There is an atmosphere on the moon.
3: The engines were probably not turned on until AFTER the rocket was aimed back, facing earth, simply to change the course back to earth.

I've never heard such unmitigated nonsense. Apollo 13 used its own momentum to slingshot round the moon and head back to earth. They used a free-return trajectory (look it up Gorilla 199 - you might learn something). There was no need for retro thrust - they just set their course and let lunar gravity do the rest. In fact, the other Apollo missions had to use retro thrust to slow down enough for them to be fully captured by the moon's gravity and get into lunar orbit.

There are certainly many unexplained anomalies connected to all the Apollo missions and NASA does lie about practically everything so you can't blame people for thinking it was all a fake. On the other hand maybe NASA themselves have started these stories to deflect other questions about what they may have found on the moon. There are structures built there and there were extraterrestrial vehicles buzzing around as they approached the moon and after they landed, maybe that's what NASA is hiding.

A spacecraft cannot "stop" in orbit-it has to keep a minimum orbital speed. This does not mean that a craft cannot change its pitch, roll, or yaw in orbit...one uses attitude control thrusters for this purpose. Precisely because there is no air in space, one can easily change the attitude of a craft using pitch/roll.
As for the inability of thrusters to propel in a vacuum...this is false. See, for instance, Paul Hewitt's Conceptual Physics for a brief intro to thrust.

@gorilla199 Why? Aren't you aware of the enormous amount of energy that would have been necessary to bring the ship to a halt? Not to mention the need to then get it going in the opposite direction. Allowing the ship to continue on it's already planned course required no extra input of energy. And, breaking free of the moon's hold would have been easier and much more efficient than attempting to stop and then restart the ship. Or do you believe that a ship moving thru space can just be stopped?

Obviously you need to learn a little physics. In order to actually stop the craft and then get it heading back to Earth would have been an enormous task. All the kinetic energy that they had built up would have had to have been negated. Near impossible. But, this same energy would have made the sligshot maneuver easy, as gravity and inertia were then working in their favor. So, get a grip and learn some science before making a lie like this.

The SPS was damaged during the explosion. It was the only rocket that had enough power for a direct abort. That is why they used the LEM's RCS to align and the LEM's descend engine at PC+2 to build speed, to get home. Space is a vacuum and rockets work in a vacuum. It is in grade school I learned this. Actually, Judas prevented them from doing a direct abort and put them on a path to the free return trajectory, where he could kidnap the crew and turn them into his minions, as if they werent already. Those rocket engines carried their own mixture of fuel and liquid oxygen . The expansion of those gaes causes thrust. They dont have to push against anything. A propeller does, but not a rocket engine.

Rockets work perfectly in a vacuum or anywhere. It isn't air they push against! The reaction of the rocket to the thrust is what propels it. Newton's third law.
You are completely 100% wrong. The return trajectory around the Moon was done because they didn't want to risk firing the Service Module rockets, and this was the safest way to point the craft back to Earth. Wise up.
