there is another forum out there but it's german so I don't understand anything and the site seems to have got hacked because avast pop up a virus warning when i try to visit it. Mine should be setup to allow users to upload their songs or videos directly in their posts (25 MB limit though)

I wonder if I should start a Music 2000/3000/MTV music generator 1-3 community because I didn't realised other people were sitll using it until I saw all those videos on youtube. It would be centered on music producing, help and support and video/html tutorials about MTV music generator/music 2000/3000. I alerady have webspace somewhere and I can start a forum in less than a day if i decide to

Hi, sounds like a good idea to me..you'd be surprised how many users are still out there. So many shy away from the video producing side which is a shame as some really good ones can be made with a little effort and imagination. I've made vids to all of my tunes on here so far.

I personally don't do video using music 2000 because I am not into vid making much, usually the video I make are multiple sequences of animated gifs or screenshots, but the stuff you can do with music generator is much better than the windows/itunes music players video animations, and on top of that, even the auto generated vids in Music 2000 are better and they follow the music beat

oh yeah i know what you mean, because you cant really make your own riffs in detail and youre expected to choose a certain type of music to start with, i hardly even go on that one! so i stick to music gen 2 xx

this is why it disapointed me. MTV music generator 3 seemed to be more an advertisement for the artists featured in the game, kind of a shame considering how the two previous games allowed almost everything to be done. I never used MTV Music Generator 2 because I never got able to find it in stores here though.

yeah it got released for a few months and then never seen again in 2002-2003 I think. I guess it's because of the unpopularity of it tho, because normally when someone buy a game console he expect to buy games, not music softwares, so MTV music generator has small userbase. That said it's still pretty good to make music.

The true successor to MTVMG2 was MUSIC 3000 by Jester Interactive, the original coders of MUSIC, MUSIC 2000 and the MTVMG series... MTVMG3 was written by a different software house. ;O)

I also have Music 2002, which was released after MTVMG2, but it seemed like a replica of Music 2000 PC (MTV Music Generator PC in North America), it didn't even had the MTVMG2 samples either
